Colonel Ly Van Giup, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Provincial Military Command, attended and delivered a speech assigning tasks to the soldiers joining their new units.
The ceremony was conducted in a solemn and dignified manner.
From within the ranks, Soldier Pham Tuan Kiet, Squad 5, Platoon 2, on behalf of the 54 new recruits, solemnly and clearly recited the 10 oaths of honor: "We, soldiers of the Vietnam People's Army, swear by the honor of a revolutionary soldier, under the glorious flag of the Fatherland..."
At the end of each oath, the resounding, unified cry of "We swear!" rings out, reflecting the unwavering determination and commitment of the revolutionary soldiers, clearly demonstrating their immense duty and responsibility to the country and its people, a duty that is both great and a source of honor and pride.
Along with that comes the ritual of kissing the Victory Banner and the ceremony of handing over and receiving weapons. This is a sacred moment, when soldiers receive weapons from their highest commander, officially undertaking the task of defending the Fatherland, marking a major event in the life of each soldier.
After receiving their weapons, the soldiers shouted: "We are determined to firmly defend the Socialist Republic of Vietnam!" Below, all the soldiers chanted in unison: "Determined... Determined... Determined!" This further boosted the revolutionary spirit, enthusiasm, and desire of the youth to contribute to the Fatherland and their homeland. From this moment, all the new recruits officially became soldiers of the Vietnam People's Army.
Honored to be the representative reading the Ten Oaths of Honor, Soldier Pham Tuan Kiet shared: “Through the time I have studied and trained, I have become more mature and responsible. I will continue to strive to uphold the oath of a revolutionary soldier to the Fatherland, contributing to further enhancing the glorious tradition that generations of our forefathers have painstakingly built.”

With the motto "Fundamental, practical, and solid" and the requirement "Fast, strong, and accurate," training always goes hand in hand with practice. After 3 months of training, the new recruits have successfully completed the following contents: Regulations; physical fitness; combat readiness; logistics; and technical work.
“Assessing the final exam results, 100% met the requirements, with 81.81% achieving good or excellent grades; the unit ensured absolute safety for personnel and equipment. During training, the Regiment launched a vibrant and widespread emulation movement, creating motivation for new recruits to enthusiastically study and train, building willpower and determination to successfully complete assigned tasks,” said Lieutenant Colonel Phan Chi Linh, Commander of Regiment 896.
Speaking at the ceremony to assign duties to the soldiers at their new units, Colonel Ly Van Giup, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Provincial Military Command, on behalf of the Party Committee and the Provincial Military Command, commended the efforts, perseverance in overcoming difficulties, and the assistance from the units and localities that assigned the recruits to achieve the best results in training the new soldiers.
Colonel Ly Van Giup requested that new recruits, upon being assigned to units under the Provincial Military Command, always maintain a positive mindset, clearly understand their duties, continue to diligently study and train to improve their health, political acumen, and tactical and technical skills; perform combat readiness duties well; strictly abide by military discipline and state laws; and strive to successfully complete all assigned tasks.
