In economic development, the commune has focused on promoting agricultural restructuring towards increasing value, forming concentrated production areas for key crops such as longan and mango, linked to standards and markets; and simultaneously applying science and technology to improve productivity and quality of agricultural products. The total cultivated area is maintained at over 7,100 hectares; the area of fruit trees is nearly 1,845 hectares... In addition, cooperatives have been strengthened, promoting the role of production linkages and forming production-consumption chains. The entire commune currently has 7 stable operating cooperatives, with an average revenue of about 1 billion VND/cooperative/year, and an average income of 7-8 million VND/person/month. At the same time, the longan processing villages in Hai Son and Hong Nam hamlets are maintained, creating jobs for many local laborers and contributing to increased income.
Hoa Muoi Agricultural Service Cooperative is a typical model in organizing production along the value chain, with 14 members cultivating 35 hectares of longan, of which 20 hectares meet VietGAP standards. Thanks to adherence to production processes and consumption linkages, the product has stable quality and guaranteed output. Mr. Luong Van Muoi, Director of the Cooperative, said: The cooperative produces according to the process, adhering to the "4 correct principles"; after each harvest, the trees are cared for and restored to ensure productivity. When participating in the linkage, the products are purchased by the cooperative at stable prices, helping people to produce with peace of mind.

Along with restructuring production, Chiềng Khoong commune is also focusing on infrastructure development, especially transportation infrastructure, which needs to be prioritized to connect production areas, facilitate goods circulation, and attract investment. The commune is currently focusing on implementing investment procedures for 16 inter-village roads totaling 154 km, along with other essential projects, with a total capital of approximately 650 billion VND; and coordinating with relevant departments and agencies to accelerate the implementation of the Chiềng Khoong Primary and Secondary Boarding School Project.
Recently, joy came to the people of Huoi Khe village when the more than 3 km road leading to the village was paved with concrete. Mr. Song A Lai, Party Secretary and Village Head, said: "Everyone in the village is delighted that the road is completed, making travel easier and allowing cars to come right to the village to buy agricultural products. The village hopes that the remaining more than 2 km will be completed soon."

Administrative reform continues to be promoted in Chiềng Khoong commune, creating a favorable environment for people and businesses. To date, 100% of administrative documents are processed electronically; outgoing documents are digitally signed; and files are processed on time, demonstrating progress in building a digital government. At the same time, the commune promotes digital transformation in management, administration, and daily life; digital platforms are effectively applied; and the "digital literacy" movement is gradually improving people's digital skills.
Along with economic development, the locality focuses on improving the quality of human resources and ensuring social security. The rate of trained workers reached 60%, of which 35% have degrees or certificates; the poverty rate decreased to 9.25%. Social security policies are fully implemented, contributing to the stability of people's lives.

Looking towards the 2030 vision, Chiềng Khoong commune is committed to achieving specific targets: an average economic growth rate of 5% per year and maintaining nearly 1,900 hectares of fruit-growing area. Alongside developing a commodity-based economy through OCOP products, the commune places special emphasis on improving the quality of human resources and protecting the forest ecosystem as a solid foundation for further local economic development.
