Afternoon of June 4th: Gold prices continue to fall.

On the afternoon of June 4th, domestic gold prices fell by another 500,000 VND/ounce compared to the morning, further narrowing the gap with world gold prices.

At approximately 4:30 PM, the price of SJC gold bars, as quoted by SJC Company and Phu Quy Group, decreased by another 500,000 VND/ounce for both buying and selling compared to this morning, totaling a decrease of 1 million VND/ounce for both buying and selling compared to the end of the previous afternoon, quoting a price of 153 million VND/ounce for buying and 156 million VND/ounce for selling.

On the global gold market, the price of gold traded on the Kitco exchange at approximately 4:30 PM on June 4th (Vietnam time) was 4,467.3 USD/ounce, an increase of 8 USD/ounce compared to this morning, and a total increase of nearly 33 USD compared to the closing price in New York on the night of June 3rd.

This price, after conversion, is equivalent to 142.1 million VND/ounce, which is about 13.7-13.9 million VND/ounce lower than the domestic gold price, narrowing the gap of 14.4-14.6 million VND/ounce recorded this morning.
