The government calls for decentralization and delegation of authority in the healthcare sector.

(Dong Nai) - The Government has just issued Decree No. 148/2025/ND-CP dated June 12, 2025, regulating the decentralization and delegation of authority in the health sector. The Decree has 4 chapters and 35 articles, and will take effect from July 1, 2025.

Accordingly, the principle of decentralization and delegation of power is based on the Constitution and the Law on Government Organization, and the Law on Local Government Organization 2025. The Decree clearly defines the decentralization and delegation of power between the central and local levels, ensuring unified government administration and promoting the responsibility and initiative of provincial-level authorities.

Decree 148 also provides specific guidance on administrative procedures related to the fields of inspection; medical examination and treatment; disease prevention; medical equipment; food safety; mother and child; training and scientific research for relevant individuals and units to implement.
