A call to action from the hearts of the Vietnamese people.
In 2025, participating in DIFF for the first time, the Z121 team excellently won the runner-up prize with an impressive performance and connected the hearts of millions of Vietnamese viewers with their choice of the song "As if Uncle Ho were present on the day of great victory".
Recalling that moment, Colonel Tran Anh Manh, Deputy Director of Chemical Company 21 (Z121) and Team Leader of Z121, is still emotional: "As expected, the song made a very strong impression, leaving many emotions and lasting impressions on audiences both domestically and internationally."
At DIFF 2026, team Z121 continued to choose familiar songs that embody the spirit of unity, the aspiration for peace, and love for their homeland. In particular, the song "Belief in Victory," performed midway through the performance, and the song "Joining Hands" that concluded the competition, showcased the spirit of unity, indomitable will, and the aspiration for progress of the Vietnamese people, hoping to touch the hearts of the audience.

Colonel Tran Anh Manh said that for this return to DIFF, the team had made very thorough preparations and was highly determined. The team organized many workshops to select the appropriate script, music , and fireworks. They also clearly assigned responsibilities from connection and setup to inspection, supervision, and testing, to ensure that all stages were as effective as possible for the performance night.
With nearly 30 years of experience in fireworks production, serving festivals and events both domestically and for export, the Z121 team understands each type of fireworks used for the competition night.
Simultaneously, mastering cutting-edge technology allowed the team to perfectly fine-tune the quality of the fireworks, minimizing smoke; creating an impressive visual matrix from the interwoven curves of low-altitude fireworks and a series of unexpected horizontal and spiral sweeping effects; and utilizing continuously changing colored smoke effects.
This year, Z121 has invested in additional equipment and technology to simulate fireworks in 3D, thereby verifying the effects in graphics before the actual performance to achieve the best results.
“With the theme “Heritage,” we will illuminate the Han River sky with beautiful images of Vietnamese culture and people. In particular, Z121 is stationed in Phu Tho province, the homeland of the Hung Kings, so during the competition night, we will recreate the image of the palm tree, a symbol of the resilience, fortitude, and vibrant spirit of the people of the Hung Kings. Through this, we hope to convey to the audience and international friends the image of a beautiful Vietnam, rich in identity, actively integrating into the international community, and ready to confidently move forward into the future,” Colonel Tran Anh Manh shared.

The French team portrayed a "shining Da Nang".
Making their debut at DIFF, Lux Factory POK 2.0, representing France, boasts extensive experience in international fireworks competitions, having already won the prestigious Gold Jupiter trophy in Montreal (Canada) 2025, one of the world's largest fireworks displays. The biggest surprise was their performance, "Heritage - Da Nang Shines," which depicted the beauty and development of Da Nang city.
Mr. Arnaud Fouriau, Team Leader of Lux Factory POK 2.0 (France), shared that the team's performance was inspired by the traditional values and cultural beauty of Vietnam. From the inherent vitality, strong development, and distinctive features that have earned Da Nang the title of "most livable city" in Vietnam, the French team showcased "Heritage - Da Nang Shines" using their signature trio of techniques: masterful digital fireworks programming, stunning multi-dimensional light effects, and sophisticated, high-quality synchronized music.
“As a company specializing in creating artistic pyromusical fireworks displays and spectacular multimedia programs, we will bring a grand light show to the Han River. There, we will tell the story of Da Nang's formation, development, and aspiration to reach international prominence. This is not just a competition, but also a bridge connecting cultures and heritage, in the spirit of DIFF 2026 – connecting horizons. And this will certainly be one of the competitions that will leave a strong mark in our years of experience in the fireworks industry,” team leader Arnaud Fouriau expressed.
