The Tet gifts are not only material but also represent the sharing of all levels of government, sectors, and the community with those in need, so that everyone can have a happy Tet. At this year's 'Tet of Compassion' market, I received money, gifts of essential goods for Tet, and support from stalls offering free vegetables, cakes, and candies…”
Sharing in the joy of those in need at the program, Comrade Lam Dong emphasized: The "Tet of Compassion" program is an activity with profound humanitarian significance, vividly demonstrating the beautiful tradition of "mutual support" and "helping those in need" of the Vietnamese people. It also affirms the concern and care of the Party, the State, the Party committees, the government, and the entire political system for the poor and those in difficult circumstances, so that all citizens can celebrate Tet happily and warmly. He thanked the agencies, units, businesses, sponsors, organizations, and benevolent individuals inside and outside the province who have joined hands and contributed to caring for people in difficult circumstances during Tet; and requested that all levels, sectors, the Fatherland Front, and political and social organizations at all levels in the province continue to pay attention to and promote social welfare work, and promote the core role of the Provincial Red Cross in humanitarian and charitable activities. Heartwarming "Tet Reunion - Spring of Gratitude to the Party"
From early morning on January 31st, the atmosphere at the Provincial Labor Culture House - the venue for the "Tet Reunion - Spring Gratitude to the Party" program - was vibrant. The atmosphere also became lively and bustling. Sun-tanned faces from the construction site, hands still smelling of machine oil, familiar worker uniforms... all blended into the vibrant spring colors of flags and flowers, the lively music, and the shared joy of reunion and celebrating Tet (Lunar New Year) with the care and attention of the Party, the State, and the trade union. This joy came not only from the practical Tet gifts, but also from the respect and sharing that the program brought. Each gift was a New Year's wish, a timely encouragement to help workers alleviate their worries and gain more motivation to enter the new year. "I am very happy to participate in the program, receive Tet gifts, and go to the Tet market for free. The support from the trade union was very timely, helping my family have a more fulfilling Tet celebration," shared Ms. Nguyen Thi Hoa, an employee of Tay Do Nha Trang Co., Ltd.

The highlight of the program was the Trade Union Tet Market. Stalls brightly decorated with spring colors offered a variety of essential goods such as rice, cooking oil, confectionery, fish sauce, etc., at discounted prices. Notably, interspersed among the discounted stalls were 10 stalls offering free goods, organized by local trade unions, with over 1,300 gift packages worth between 300,000 and 500,000 VND each, for workers in difficult circumstances. Ms. Nguyen Thuy Kim Ngan, a member of the Trade Union at the Center for Quality Processing and Market Development Region III (Nam Nha Trang Ward), shared: “My salary isn't high, and year-end expenses are high, so Tet is always a struggle. Thanks to the Trade Union Tet Market, I have extra rice, cooking oil, and sweets for my children, which saves me a lot of money.”
To realize the goal of ensuring all union members and workers have a happy Tet holiday, the Provincial Labor Union has allocated 5,080 online shopping vouchers worth 500,000 VND each to union members, workers, and full-time union officials throughout the province. Simultaneously, it has focused on organizing and expanding the "Tet Reunion - Spring Gratitude to the Party" program and the 2026 Trade Union Tet Market. Specifically, within the "Tet Reunion - Spring Gratitude to the Party" program, 350 Tet gift packages were distributed to union members and workers in difficult circumstances. These included 95 packages worth 2.3 million VND each, 95 packages worth 1.3 million VND each, and 160 packages worth 1 million VND each.

Mr. Phan Thanh Liem, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Khanh Hoa province and Chairman of the Provincial Labor Union, said that this year, the "Tet Reunion - Spring of Gratitude to the Party" program and the Trade Union Tet Market will be organized by the Provincial Labor Union at four main locations: the southern area of Khanh Hoa , the northern area of Khanh Hoa, the 4th Naval Region, and the Suoi Dau Industrial Zone. At these four locations, the provincial labor union will provide Tet gifts to 10,540 union members and workers in difficult circumstances, with each gift worth 1 million VND, helping them to have a warmer Tet holiday. In addition, there will be 60 stalls offering free goods and discounts from businesses, ward unions, and grassroots unions, giving away thousands of gifts to workers.
Speaking at the program, Comrade Nguyen Khac Ha emphasized: "The 'Tet Reunion - Spring Gratitude to the Party' program and the 2026 Trade Union Tet Market are meaningful activities, demonstrating the trade union's determination to ensure that all union members and workers have a happy Tet holiday. Through this program, each union member and worker will feel warmer, more confident, and more secure in celebrating Tet, and will continue to be committed to working hard and contributing to the successful completion of tasks in the new year. In the coming time, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front will continue to pay attention to and create favorable conditions for the trade union to better perform its role in representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of union members and workers; and at the same time, we hope that the workforce in the province will continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, responsibility, and creativity, making positive contributions to the sustainable development of the province."
According to the plan, from now until Tet (Lunar New Year), grassroots trade unions will proactively coordinate with unit leaders and employers to organize visits and gift-giving to 92,000 union members and workers, with a total amount of nearly 47 billion VND. Thus, during the Tet holiday of the Year of the Horse, trade unions at all levels in the province will allocate more than 61 billion VND to care for the lives of union members and workers.
