The 3rd Provincial Disaster Prevention and Control Committee - Phu Loc is considered an important checkpoint to build a strong political base, maintain a solid defense position in the southern gateway of Hue City. Lieutenant Colonel Tran Chi Thanh, Deputy Commander, Chief of Staff of the Regional Disaster Management Board 3 - Phu Loc said: The unit manages an area spanning over 13 communes and wards, with all types of terrain including forests, mountains, lagoons and coastal areas; including over 60km of coastline, so the implementation of disaster response construction also faces many difficulties. With determination and in the spirit of proactive response to minimize damage, the unit quickly dispatched forces to coordinate with the military command (CHQS) of the communes to quickly review all vulnerable areas, especially those at high risk of flooding and landslides, to advise local Party committees and authorities to promptly develop effective response plans when the rainy and stormy season arrives.

Mr. Nguyen Van Thai, Commander of the Military Command of Chan May - Lang Co Commune, said: To proactively respond to this year's storm season, we closely coordinate with the Military Command of Region 3 - Phu Loc and border posts to proactively review and grasp the local situation to advise local Party committees and authorities to develop plans to prevent, combat, and overcome consequences close to reality. In particular, we focus on understanding households in low-lying areas, policy families, and single-parent families to have plans to evacuate when storms and floods occur...

The 3rd Regional Disaster Management Board - Phu Loc also proactively implemented the "4 on-site" motto; organized and assigned forces to key and vulnerable areas to grasp the situation; coordinated with localities to organize propaganda work, disseminate laws, and raise public awareness of disaster prevention and control. The unit coordinated with border posts and military command boards of 13 communes and wards to develop and practice disaster prevention and control plans, search and rescue plans suitable for each locality. The 3rd Regional Disaster Management Board is ready to mobilize a system of ships, boats, and all kinds of materials and reserve food to ensure adequate supplies when situations arise.

The Steering Committee for Disaster Prevention and Control 3 - Phu Loc directed localities and sectors to develop plans to ensure the safety of people's lives and property, especially in low-lying areas, coastal areas, lagoons, riverside areas, and areas at risk of flash floods and landslides; have plans to reinforce and protect key and vulnerable works, ensure the safety of Truoi Lake and Thuy Yen Reservoir; review plans to ensure food, means, and forces to participate in rescue when situations arise.
