Inter Miami wants Messi to stay long term. |
In a recent interview with ESPN , Jorge Mas said he is very confident that Messi will continue to stay with Inter Miami.
Leo will become a free agent at the end of 2025, but there are reports that the Argentine superstar wants to stay in Miami. Mr. Mas stressed that he would love for Messi to attend the opening ceremony of the team's new stadium in March 2026.
“The decision about the future depends on Messi. We hope that Messi will finish his career here," said Mr. Mas. “In the case of Suarez and Busquets, it is up to them if they want to stay,” said Mas. “We will see what Suarez wants to do, if he wants to sign for one more year or more, it all depends on his body. I think the problem with Luis Suarez is a physical problem, not an emotional one.”
