Mr. Bay shared: "In the digital age, information technology is developing rapidly, and if we don't proactively adapt, we will fall behind. Moreover, the workload of the departments and organizations at the commune level is quite large, and without the support of technology, carrying out tasks will face many difficulties. Immediately after operating the two-tiered local government model, merging the Veterans Association organization, and being elected as Chairman of the Commune Veterans Association, I immediately established a working group on the Zalo social network platform with members being the Standing Committee of the Commune Veterans Association and the heads of the 18 branches to exchange information; at the same time, helping the branch heads, especially the older ones, to familiarize themselves with information technology and new working methods. Thanks to this, the direction, management, and implementation of the association's movements and activities have become faster, more open, transparent, and have leveraged the collective intelligence to serve the common task."
To enhance the effectiveness of leadership, guidance, and task implementation, Mr. Bay increased the use of digital platforms and social media to disseminate the Party's guidelines, the State's policies and laws, and the association's activities to a large number of members. In carrying out his personal duties, he proactively learned and explored to master artificial intelligence applications for document creation, report compilation, document format conversion, meeting summary, and data storage. He also designed presentation slides for traditional talks with youth and students, as well as competitions and contests on traditional knowledge or excellent presenters' competitions. Through these efforts, he contributed to innovating working methods, improving the quality and effectiveness of the association's work, and aligning with the current trend of digital transformation.

By effectively applying information technology and utilizing artificial intelligence, the propaganda, guidance, and organization of emulation movements by the Veterans Association of Nguyen Du commune have become more professional, modern, and increasingly effective, gaining widespread support from its members. The Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and regulations, as well as the programs and plans of higher-level associations, reach the members of the Veterans Association of Nguyen Du commune quickly and promptly. Since the beginning of the year, the Veterans Association of Nguyen Du commune has organized training sessions for 98.5% of its members on Party directives and resolutions; actively contributed opinions to Party congress documents at all levels and major draft laws and resolutions; and effectively implemented emulation movements such as: "The whole country is competing in innovation and digital transformation"; "Digital literacy for the people"; and "Promoting the development of synchronous and modern infrastructure and practicing thrift and combating waste." “For the poor, no one should be left behind”... Through this, members and their families have been mobilized to actively participate in emulation movements launched by various levels, sectors, and the Fatherland Front, especially the association's key movements such as: “Exemplary Veterans”; “Veterans helping each other reduce poverty and excel in economic activities”. Veterans in the commune have donated nearly 10,000 square meters of land to expand rural roads; regularly maintain 14 self-governing models on security, order, traffic safety, and environmental sanitation with 215 members; the entire commune has 6 farms and 64 family farms owned by veterans, and 497 member households have a relatively high or high standard of living, thus actively participating in social campaigns and supporting each other to develop economically, making positive contributions to the socio-economic development of the locality.
The image of the Chairman of the Veterans Association of Nguyen Du commune always carrying his laptop wherever he goes is no longer unfamiliar to officials, members, and residents of the commune. Mr. Nguyen Van Bay added: "With just a computer and a smartphone, I can handle work anywhere. Living in the digital age without proactively approaching and adapting will not allow me to keep up with the demands of the job. In the future, I will continue to learn to master AI applications, turning them into useful tools to serve my work and life."
