In close adherence to the targets and tasks of the health sector as defined in the Resolution and action plan to implement the Resolution of the Provincial Party Congress, and the tasks assigned by the province every year, the health sector has regularly and proactively reported, proposed, and advised the Ministry of Health , the Provincial Party Committee, the People's Council, and the Provincial People's Committee to actively coordinate with sectors from the province to the locality, so that health care and people's health care work has been focused on and comprehensively implemented. From 2020 to the end of 2024, the health sector has achieved and exceeded 3/5 targets of the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress.
Implementing the assigned targets and tasks of the Provincial People's Council and Provincial People's Committee in the annual socio-economic development plan, the health sector has achieved and exceeded 8 basic targets. The quality of medical examination and treatment has been improved at all levels, especially for the poor and children. Health insurance covers 93.8% of the population, and hospital quality management is focused.

With a strategic vision, the health sector will focus on three pillars: Building a strong grassroots health system, prioritizing mountainous and disadvantaged areas; Developing specialized medical techniques; Deploying smart healthcare, contributing to the development of the provincial health system to ensure that all people enjoy primary health care services, expand access to and use of quality health services; Reduce disease rates, improve physical strength, increase life expectancy, improve population quality; Implement well the work of child protection and prevention of social evils; Develop the health system in Vinh city to become the core of the North Central region's specialized medical center.

In the coming time, comrade Le Hong Vinh suggested that the health sector focus on continuing to lead, direct and effectively implement solutions to improve the quality of medical work and health care for the people according to the Central Resolution and the Provincial Resolution.
