On June 12, being present in coastal areas of Lien Chieu district, we recorded the urgent atmosphere of the forces in helping people respond to storm No. 1.
Lieutenant Colonel Kieu Duy Tien, Deputy Political Commissar of Hai Van Border Guard Station, said: “The unit has sent more than 50 officers and soldiers to coordinate with local authorities and functional forces to organize propaganda, mobilize, help and guide more than 200 ships, boats and motorboats to safe anchorage and shelter; help families tie down and reinforce their houses. In addition, the unit also organized forces to prepare and ensure facilities at Trung Nu Vuong Primary School (Hoa Hiep Nam Ward), Huong Duong Kindergarten and Kim Lien Sea Cultural House (Hoa Hiep Bac Ward) to welcome people to take shelter from the storm.”
In the coastal area of Thanh Khe district, officers and soldiers of the Da Nang City Border Guard and other forces urgently supported people in preventing and fighting storm No. 1.
Lieutenant Colonel Le Minh Hoang, Head of Phu Loc Border Guard Station, informed: "Yesterday afternoon (June 11) and the morning of June 12, the unit assigned 3 teams, with 24 officers and soldiers to support 25 fishing vessels to anchor and take shelter safely; mobilized 21 officers and soldiers to help people reinforce their houses in wards in the coastal border area. Along with that, the unit assigned 2 permanent working teams to the area to grasp the situation; 1 mobile team is ready to coordinate with local authorities to deploy storm prevention and control, especially in low-lying areas in Khe Can area (Thanh Khe Tay ward)".
In the Han River area, Man Quang Bay, Tho Quang fishing port and wharf, officers and soldiers of Son Tra Border Guard Station and Border Guard Squadron 2 also actively coordinated with other forces to guide and propagate ships and boats on the Han River to move to safe shelters; coordinated with the Tho Quang Fishing Port and wharf Management Board to guide and arrange anchorages for ships and boats.
According to Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Van Thuong, Political Commissar of Border Guard Squadron 2, along with proactively implementing storm prevention and control plans, ensuring the safety of barracks, warehouses, and military housing, the unit has prepared ships and boats ready to participate in rescue at sea when requested.

According to the reporter's records, by noon on June 12, all fishing boats... of coastal fishermen in the districts of Lien Chieu, Thanh Khe, Son Tra, and Ngu Hanh Son had been brought to safe anchorage positions.
Colonel Ho Si Hau, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of the Da Nang City Border Guard, said: "In addition to organizing flare firing to warn ships and boats, the unit strictly maintains a duty regime, ensures forces, vehicles and smooth communication, and is ready to carry out rescue missions when ordered."
During the night of June 11 and the morning of June 12, the Da Nang City Border Guard Command mobilized nearly 300 officers and soldiers to key coastal areas to help people prevent and combat storm No. 1. To be ready to handle situations, at the Da Nang City Border Guard Command, a mobile platoon was established with 50 officers and soldiers, ready to go on missions when a situation arises.
