Duy Mạnh added that the Malaysian team has undergone many changes, from the coach to the players.
“According to the information I have, the opposing team has 17-18 naturalized players as well as players currently playing abroad. These are all very high-quality players. We will prepare to the best of our ability to achieve the best possible result in the match,” Duy Mạnh emphasized.

Midfielder Chau Ngoc Quang said that the entire Vietnamese team had thoroughly studied their opponents through video footage: “The whole team has gathered information about the opponent by studying video footage of their previous matches. The coaching staff has also prepared and analyzed carefully to come up with effective countermeasures.”
Coach Kim and the tactical analysts helped us understand our opponents better. Each player in the team was assigned specific tasks to respond to different situations in the match. However, I would prefer not to share details about the specific tactical exercises.”
In Group F, Vietnam and Malaysia are considered direct competitors for the single qualifying spot for the 2027 Asian Cup Finals. After the first round of matches, Vietnam is temporarily leading the group with a 5-0 victory over Laos, while Malaysia is second with a 2-0 win against Nepal. Statistics show that in the past 11 years since the 2014 AFF Cup, Malaysia has never beaten Vietnam, with 7 losses and 1 draw.
The match between the Malaysian and Vietnamese national teams will take place at 9 PM on June 10th (local time, which is 8 PM Vietnam time) at the Bukit Jalil Stadium.
