Simacai District Library after the storm and flood
After receiving information, images and calls for help from libraries and schools, the Program "Reading with you to raise Vietnamese intelligence" (CBDS) shared with libraries and schools to overcome difficulties after the storm and flood. Some volunteers actively donated textbooks. The Program "Reading with you to raise Vietnamese intelligence" selected and purchased a number of books that met the actual needs of libraries and schools to support. 3,000 books, thousands of audio and multimedia documents with QR codes, notebooks and colored pens were sent and donated.
On September 27, Dr. Vu Duong Thuy Nga, former Director of the Library Department, founder of the CBDS Program, and her colleagues directly presented books to 4 flooded schools in Thai Nguyen city, including: Quang Vinh Primary School, Dong Bam Primary School, Quang Vinh Secondary School , and Trung Vuong Secondary School. In addition to books for students and school libraries, the Program also gave gifts to 30 students in difficult circumstances.

Sharing at the book donation ceremony, Dr. Vu Duong Thuy Nga expressed her concern and sympathy for the difficulties of the schools and hoped that teachers and students would soon overcome the difficulties, stabilize teaching and learning, continue to develop a reading culture in schools, and foster a spirit of lifelong learning through books and newspapers in both teachers and students.
Ms. Vu Thi Thu Huong, Principal of Quang Vinh Secondary School in Thai Nguyen City, shared: "During the recent flood, the school suffered a lot of damage to its facilities such as desks and chairs for students, equipment, and working tools for teachers. If calculated, the damage would be more than 600,000,000 VND. Today, receiving very good and valuable books from the program "Reading with you" and from Dr. Vu Duong Thuy Nga for the school and for the library and students in difficult circumstances is a very precious gift. In times of hardship, any gift is very precious, but when receiving these books as gifts, we teachers and students felt very special. We would like to thank the Program for its favor to the school."
Le Thi Nga, a 7A3 student at Quang Vinh Secondary School, said: "The school library was affected by the recent flood, it was also wet and damaged a lot. Today, I received gifts and books from the group. I am very happy because I have many new and good books to read."
Talking with teachers and students, members of the CBDS Program learned that many schools are still facing difficulties in Thai Nguyen city. Therefore, the community's cooperation is needed to gradually overcome the consequences of natural disasters./.
