Previously, when he was a 12th grade physics student at Quoc Hoc Hue High School for the Gifted, Tran Le Thien Nhan won a silver medal at the Asian Physics Olympiad (AphO 2025) and a silver medal at the International Physics Olympiad (IphO 2025).
These are two prestigious medals, the result of a continuous process of learning and training. With this achievement, Tran Le Thien Nhan was awarded a prize worth up to 255 million VND.
Dreaming from the seats below
Sharing in an emotional moment after leaving the stage, Thien Nhan confided that in previous opening ceremonies, he was just a student sitting below, admiringly watching his seniors being recognized on stage.
"At that time, I looked up at the stage and saw my seniors being recognized and wished that one day I would be able to stand up there. Today I did it... I feel very lucky and happy," Nhan confided.

The young man feels very proud to represent Vietnam in the international arena. Thien Nhan also believes that the decisive factor to achieve success is effort. For Thien Nhan, the learning journey is a long and challenging road, requiring careful preparation right from the first days of grade 10.
"I spend almost 80% of my time on physics."
Thien Nhan reveals his study secret
For the regional and national rounds, I have built a clear study plan. Thien Nhan chose to synthesize all types of exercises, grouping them into larger types to easily remember and find ways to solve small problems.
Having reached international level, this talented student believes that studying should prioritize instinct, personal interest and practice problem-solving skills.
"This is the key to achieving high results," Nhan affirmed.
Relaxation and ideas from running steps
Not only passionate about physics, Thien Nhan also has a special hobby of running. The young man often participates in running races in the city.
For Thien Nhan, running is not only a way to relieve stress but also helps to practice discipline. More interestingly, during the running process, new ideas for unsolved problems suddenly appear.
According to Ms. Nguyen Thi Quynh Oanh, Thien Nhan's former homeroom teacher, this student is a quick-witted and intelligent person in both studying and sports activities. Thien Nhan always shows high thinking and creativity in the learning process. In particular, Thien Nhan's self-study ability is very admirable, not only searching for Vietnamese documents but also diligently searching for specialized English documents for research.
In addition to the two prestigious medals, Thien Nhan is also a student who has won many major awards at the provincial and national levels related to physics.
Currently, Tran Le Thien Nhan is studying materials science at Phenikaa University in Hanoi. In the future, this young man dreams of winning scholarships at prestigious universities around the world. It is a new, promising journey, continuing the brilliant successes he has achieved...
