The program attracted 250 volunteers who are officers, doctors and nurses working at units under the Ninh Binh health sector to participate in voluntary blood donation.
The expected amount of blood received is 230 units, which will contribute to ensuring the necessary blood reserve to provide timely blood to medical facilities to serve the treatment of patients; at the same time, helping blood donors have the opportunity to check their own health.
Volunteers hope that the “Pink Drops – White Blouse” program will continue for a long time. |
This is also an opportunity to honor the noble gesture of Ninh Binh medical staff who directly donated blood to save patients' lives, demonstrating the noble quality of "A good doctor is like a mother"; thereby, spreading the blood donation movement to a large number of people in the province.
Deputy Director of Ninh Binh Provincial Department of Health Ngo Ngoc Quang said, “Pink Drops – White Blouse” is an annual voluntary blood donation activity of Ninh Binh health sector to promote and raise awareness of medical staff, doctors, civil servants and public employees in the health sector about the purpose, meaning and humane value of voluntary blood donation to save lives.
In particular, in recent years, the voluntary blood donation movement in the medical sector has been actively organized, mobilizing a large number of civil servants and public employees to participate in and donate blood voluntarily. Currently, Ninh Binh province has enough blood reserves. However, the medical sector is still actively mobilizing cadres to donate blood to send to Central hospitals to meet the blood needs of the upper level.
Many volunteers from Ninh Binh health sector participated in blood donation. |
