"EVN Pink Week" is an annual voluntary blood donation activity organized by EVN in December. 2025 marks the 11th consecutive year the program has been implemented, contributing to supplementing the often-shortage blood supply for treatment at the end of the year. This is also a suitable time to organize blood donation drives when the demand for blood for emergency and treatment purposes increases, especially during the period leading up to the Lunar New Year.
Through this meaningful activity, EVNNPT's officers and employees continue to demonstrate their sense of responsibility, dedication, and noble gestures towards the community.
According to EVNNPT, many of the Corporation's officials and employees have maintained the habit of donating blood for many years. In addition, there are quite a few new faces participating for the first time, especially the youth union members. The positive response from EVNNPT's officials and employees has contributed to creating a beautiful image of power transmission workers always ready to share for the community.
Over the years, alongside its mission to ensure safe, continuous, and stable electricity transmission to serve the socio -economic development of the country, EVNNPT has always focused on social welfare activities, spreading the spirit of volunteerism throughout the organization. Voluntary blood donation has become a beautiful cultural tradition, maintained and expanded year after year.
Concluding the blood donation event on the morning of December 15, 2025, the program received 114 units of blood, making a significant contribution to supplementing the blood reserve for emergency care and treatment of patients. Each drop of blood donated not only gives patients a chance to live but also spreads a message of love and compassion, clearly demonstrating EVN's corporate culture and the responsibility of electricity industry workers towards society.
Representatives from the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion stated: Currently, the supply of blood for medical treatment is often insufficient during Tet (Lunar New Year), summer, and in some localities. Therefore, every year, the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion proactively coordinates with many functional units and media agencies to organize blood donation campaigns such as: "Pink Week"; "Pink Spring Festival"; "Red Journey"; "Red Sunday". These programs have received enthusiastic support and participation from employees of the electricity sector in general and EVNNPT in particular.
Voluntary blood donation was initiated by the Ministry of Health within the sector in 1994. By 2000, this activity had been directed and launched as a nationwide movement by the Prime Minister.
