As an annual award organized by Nhan Dan Newspaper in collaboration with VCCorp Joint Stock Company, the Community Action Award has become a prestigious national award honoring individuals, organizations, and businesses that are persistently creating positive value for society through community initiatives and projects with long-lasting impact.
Attending the Gala for the 2025 Community Action Award were Central Committee members: Vo Thi Anh Xuan, Vice President; Lai Xuan Mon, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department; Le Hai Binh, Alternate Member of the Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; and veteran journalist Ha Dang, former Central Committee member, former Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, former Head of the Central Ideology-Culture Department (now the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department).
Following the themes "Pioneering Milestones" in 2023 and "Creative Communities" in 2024, the 2025 season returns with the theme "Persistent Service" - recognizing long-term, enduring, quiet but powerful journeys; individuals who choose to act, contribute, and sow seeds of kindness to create lasting change.
The 2025 Community Action Award received 160 entries, an increase from 138 projects in 2024. Entries came from businesses, social organizations, volunteer groups, and individuals across the country, spanning various fields: nature conservation, sustainable livelihood development, education , healthcare, equal opportunity, welfare for vulnerable groups, honoring history, preserving cultural identity, and green transformation in production and business.
Speaking at the awards ceremony, Central Committee member, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association , and Head of the Organizing Committee of the Le Quoc Minh Action Award said: "We have just witnessed the most beautiful moments of the award. The moment when kind people took to the stage to receive the trophy."
"With this award, the moment of receiving the trophy is not the end but the beginning, because the award was created not only to honor an individual or an organization but to awaken many others. It's not meant to end with a ceremony but to open a new journey, to choose how to become part of community-oriented actions together. We believe that the award only truly lives on when it continues to generate action afterward. This year, we are witnessing that becoming a part of life," Mr. Le Quoc Minh expressed.
From the 27 projects that reached the final round, the judging panel selected the best projects to award prizes, based on criteria such as impact, sustainability, commitment, creativity, and potential for community outreach.

The 2025 Community Action Award once again affirms that, whether individual or organizational, every persistent effort for the community is valuable and deserves recognition, connection, and support. The Award's journey doesn't end after the Gala night, but will continue on its path of spreading inspiration, creating more space, resources, and connections for those who choose to live for others.

In addition to the official award categories, at this year's Gala Awards Ceremony, the Judging Panel of the Community Action Award decided to add a special category called "Silent Service".
This category is dedicated to recognizing and honoring individuals and projects that have made sustained contributions, created positive impacts, and strongly inspired the community, but for various reasons were unable to participate in or be nominated for the Award. The addition of this category reflects the open and humane spirit of the Community Action Award, aiming to ensure that no one is overlooked who is quietly and selflessly dedicating themselves to society.
In 2025, two individuals were honored in the "Silent Service" category: Ms. Tran Thi Cam Giang – founder and director of Thien Duyen Shelter in Cu Chi, Ho Chi Minh City; and Dr. Le Thanh Do – a doctor and war veteran in Hanoi – who has dedicated over 20 years to producing and donating thousands of prosthetic limbs free of charge to poor disabled people across the country.
