
On the evening of December 16th, in Hanoi , the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations, the Cuban Embassy, and the Embassies of Latin American countries in Vietnam jointly organized the 13th Latin American Music Night, with the participation of over 200 domestic and international delegates.
Attendees included: Palestinian Ambassador to Vietnam Saadi Salama - Head of the Diplomatic Corps in Vietnam, Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Rogelio Polanco Fuentes, Venezuelan Ambassador to Vietnam Juan Carlos Fernandes Juárez, along with Chargé d'affaires and representatives from the embassies of Latin American countries and international organizations in Vietnam; representatives from departments and agencies of Hanoi city and the Hanoi Bilateral Friendship Association with other countries.
In his opening remarks at the music night, the Chairman of the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations, Nguyen Ngoc Ky, said: For the past 12 years, the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations, in coordination with the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba and the Embassies of Latin American countries in Vietnam, has organized the Latin American Music Night - a meaningful art exchange program that has made a positive impression on international friends.

“The 13th Latin American Music Night program, organized to celebrate Christmas and New Year 2026, aims to promote and introduce the culture of Latin American countries through vibrant and captivating melodies and dances, as well as traditional Latin American food and drinks. The program contributes to strengthening solidarity, friendship, and mutual understanding between the people of Hanoi and the people of Latin American countries, bridging geographical distances and creating favorable conditions for expanding friendly cooperation between Vietnam and Latin American countries,” emphasized Nguyen Ngoc Ky, President of the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations.
According to Nguyen Ngoc Ky, Chairman of the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations, along with a series of commemorative activities with profound political and social significance, the Latin American Music Night is one of the meaningful activities to celebrate the 65th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Cuba and the "Vietnam-Cuba Friendship Year".

At the event, Cuban Ambassador to Vietnam Rogelio Polanco Fuentes expressed his gratitude to the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations for coordinating with the Cuban Embassy and the embassies of Latin American countries in Hanoi to organize this meaningful musical evening.
Deeply moved by the event being held at the Thang Loi Hotel – a symbolic landmark of Vietnam-Cuba friendship – Cuban Ambassador Rogelio Polanco Fuentes affirmed that December 2, 1960 – the day Cuba and Vietnam established diplomatic relations – opened the horizon for the comprehensive relationship that Vietnam maintains today with all countries in the Americas.
The concert consisted of two parts, with the first part featuring performances by professional and amateur artists from Latin American embassies, associations, and member organizations of the Hanoi Union of Friendship Organizations.

At the concert, delegates enjoyed outstanding artistic performances such as: the immortal Sonata No. 6 by composer George Handel, performed by artist Phuong Linh from the Vietnam-US Friendship Association of Hanoi; the vibrant Lambada dance by the Song Lua group, from the Vietnam-Bulgaria Friendship Association of Hanoi; the song Havana by student Khanh Linh from the Vietnam-Cuba Chapter, Department of International Relations - Academy of Journalism and Communication; the Chacha cha dance performed by the national sports dance champions Hoang Gia Bao and Hoang Gia Linh; and the Salsa dance by dancers from the Cuban Embassy...
Following the spectacular artistic performances, the delegates enjoyed a free dance to lively music and savored Latin American food and drinks in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
