The Song Cau local social insurance agency is accelerating its social security coverage.

As of the end of November 2025, the development of participants in social insurance, unemployment insurance, and health insurance in Song Cau district continued to maintain impressive growth compared to the same period in 2024. The total number of people participating in compulsory social insurance reached 5,800, an increase of 577 people, achieving 85.27% of the provincial social insurance plan. The total number of people participating in voluntary social insurance reached 1,415, an increase of 102 people, achieving 31.3% of the provincial plan.

The Song Cau local social insurance office is giving health insurance cards to people in difficult circumstances in Song Cau ward.

According to Mr. Chau Cong Thai, Director of the Song Cau branch of the Social Insurance agency, the outstanding achievement of the unit to date is the number of people participating in health insurance reaching 97,403, an increase of 13,139 people compared to the same period in 2024. With this result, the Song Cau branch of the Social Insurance agency has achieved 92.37% of the plan assigned by the provincial Social Insurance agency.

Regarding the collection of social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, and occupational accident and disease insurance, by the end of November 2025, the Song Cau branch of the Social Insurance agency had collected nearly 224 billion VND, equivalent to 89.12% of the provincial Social Insurance agency's assigned plan. However, debt recovery remains challenging, with 13 billion VND outstanding, accounting for 5.6% of the total collection, 3.8% higher than the assigned target. Of this, overdue social insurance contributions account for a large proportion at 10.38 billion VND, and overdue health insurance contributions are nearly 3 billion VND.

"Currently, the Song Cau branch of the Social Insurance agency is aggressively implementing measures to urge and conduct specialized inspections to reduce the debt ratio to the lowest possible level," said Mr. Chau Cong Thai.

In addition to doing a good job in developing the number of participants, the Song Cau branch of the Social Insurance agency has also prioritized the timely payment of benefits, ensuring legitimate rights and entitlements for workers.

According to the Song Cau branch of the Social Insurance agency, in the first 11 months of 2025, the unit processed new benefits for 1,449 people. Notably, maternity benefit payments saw strong growth, increasing by 124% compared to the same period in 2024. Total cumulative social insurance and health insurance expenditures reached 66.5 billion VND, ensuring full and timely payments to beneficiaries. Simultaneously, the Song Cau branch of the Social Insurance agency also provided support to workers affected by natural disasters. To date, the unit has promptly addressed emerging situations to support workers affected by Typhoon No. 13 and the recent historic floods.

Recently, as part of the program "Giving Health Insurance Cards to People in Difficult Circumstances - Bringing a Warm Tet to the Poor in the Year of the Horse," the Song Cau Social Insurance branch donated 2,022 health insurance cards to people in difficult circumstances in 6 communes and wards under its management. This funding came from Vietnam Social Insurance, the Provincial Social Insurance, Vietcombank Phu Yen Branch, and various businesses.

To achieve the set goals, in the remaining days of 2025, the Song Cau branch of the Social Insurance Agency will focus on implementing a comprehensive set of solutions to increase participation, especially in family health insurance and voluntary social insurance. The unit will proactively develop scenarios and plans for recovering overdue social insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance contributions; coordinate with the People's Committees of communes and wards to review and continue encouraging people to participate in family health insurance…”, added Chau Cong Thai, Director of the Song Cau branch of the Social Insurance Agency.
