Only the AFF Cup allows national teams to compete. If they wanted to use U22 players, the AFF already has youth tournaments like U16, U19, and U22, right? So why use U22 players for the 2024 AFF Cup? Furthermore, Bung Towel suggested that coach Shin Tae-yong should have called up reserve players from the Indonesian national team such as Ricky Kambuaya, Ernando Ari Sutaryadi, and Egy Maulana Vikri.
"Isn't it the coach who chooses the players? The question is, why not give opportunities to older players, those currently on the national team's bench, so they can contribute? ", added Bung Towel.
