What's included in the interior design exhibition project for the Bac Lieu General Museum?

Bac Lieu province has just inaugurated the interior exhibition project of the Bac Lieu Provincial General Museum, a "red address" for educating about patriotic traditions and an attractive destination for tourists.

On April 26th, the People's Committee of Bac Lieu province held the inauguration ceremony for the interior design exhibition project of the Bac Lieu Provincial General Museum. Attending the ceremony were Mr. Vo Van Dung, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Central Internal Affairs Commission, and representatives from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The interior design project for the Bac Lieu General Museum commenced construction in October 2023, with a total budget of over 75 billion VND, and is managed by the Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The project is located in blocks B and C (Three Conical Hats Theater, Ward 1, Bac Lieu City).

The project displays artifacts and historical documents, conveying 10 themes that recreate the history of the formation of the land and people of Bac Lieu. At the same time, the museum also displays many artifacts reflecting the process of fighting to protect the country and the outstanding achievements in the reform process of the Party Committee, government, and people of Bac Lieu province.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Huynh Huu Tri, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Lieu province, shared that this is one of the projects of great significance to the Party Committee and people of Bac Lieu province, a "red address" for educating about patriotic traditions, and an attractive destination that draws people from all walks of life in the province and the public from near and far.

Mr. Huynh Huu Tri suggested that the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism focus on developing effective and safe operational solutions and plans; and continue collecting materials to enrich the museum's function as a comprehensive museum of the province, maximizing its potential to revitalize this cultural institution. In addition, he suggested strengthening communication, networking, and promotion activities to attract visitors, thereby making the museum a familiar and attractive destination for domestic and international tourists visiting Bac Lieu; and continue researching and applying modern science and technology to museum operations to better meet the needs of visitors in the era of Industry 4.0.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Lieu province also requested the Bac Lieu Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to regularly coordinate with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and its specialized agencies to effectively carry out the work of displaying and preserving artifacts at the museum, especially national treasures recognized by the Prime Minister.
