According to Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN), from June 13th, the two generating units of Nghi Son Thermal Power Plant and other thermal power plants resumed operation after a long period of repair and troubleshooting, adding approximately 20 million kWh/day to the power system in the North.
Electricity workers in Hanoi are reminding businesses to turn off lights to save electricity.
This power source has helped alleviate the strain caused by electricity shortages in the North in recent days. An updated power outage schedule for June 14th shows a significant reduction in prolonged power outages in many localities.
Specifically, in Hanoi, many inner-city districts have reduced the number of areas subject to rolling power outages. In Thanh Xuan District today, only parts of Thanh Xuan Trung, Thanh Xuan Bac, and Nhan Chinh wards are included in the planned power outage from 9 AM to 1 PM.
Meanwhile, in the suburban districts of Hanoi, many areas are still experiencing power outages at different times of the day.
Specifically, in Dong Anh District, the planned power outage will affect many communes including Hai Boi, Tien Duong, Nam Hong, Bac Hong, Xuan Canh, Tam Xa, and Vinh Ngoc, from 9 AM to 1 PM. In Soc Son District, communes such as Hong Ky, Nam Son, Bac Son, Tien Duoc, Phu Lo, Mai Dinh, and Xuan Giang are also scheduled to have their power cut from 9 AM to 1 PM.
In Thach That District, more than 10 communes are scheduled for temporary power outages, mainly between 3 PM and 7 PM, including: Canh Nau, Chang Son, Dai Dong, Cam Yen, Binh Phu, Phu Kim…
Notably, in Thach That District, Thach That Power Company had 8 planned power outages across numerous communes, but on June 14th, the planned power cuts were postponed. Similarly, in Thanh Oai District, dozens of communes and wards were notified by the power company that power cuts would be "postponed" today.
Regarding the power outage schedule for June 14th in Thai Nguyen , Thai Nguyen Power Company announced on its website 31 plans for temporary power interruptions. However, compared to previous days, the duration of the rotating power outages in Thai Nguyen has been shorter, generally lasting from 1 to 2 hours. Some areas experienced longer power outages, ranging from 1 PM to 5 PM, and at the latest from 2 PM to 8 PM.
According to Bac Giang Power Company, today, more than 200 residential areas in Bac Giang province experienced power outages, a significant decrease compared to previous days. However, many areas in Bac Giang still experienced power outages from 6 AM to 6 PM, as the local authorities are prioritizing daytime power supply to manufacturing businesses and nighttime power supply for residential use.
