Accordingly, Paris Jackson, 27 years old, criticized the upcoming biopic about Michael Jackson and affirmed that she "did not participate" in the work containing "blatant lies" about this pop legend.

The comments come just two days after Oscar-nominated actor Colman Domingo, who plays family patriarch Joe Jackson in the upcoming film Michael , praising Paris' contribution.
Specifically, last weekend, while hosting the amfAR AIDS research fundraising gala at the Venice Film Festival, Domingo shared with People magazine that Paris and her brother Prince were "very supportive of the film." The actor added that Paris was "so wonderful and warm."
However, Paris corrected this information on Instagram not long after. The singer and actress wrote: "Don't tell people I'm 'helpful' when I'm not in it at all. It's weird. I read one of the first scripts and commented on things that were dishonest/inappropriate. And when the crew didn't want to hear it, I stopped caring and moved on with my life."
She later shared more in her Instagram stories, saying she had been told the film would not mention her note. Paris added: "So it's not my project. They'll do whatever they want. A big reason I haven't said anything until now is because I know a lot of you will be happy with it. Because a lot of the film plays into the irrational beliefs of a segment of my dad's fan base who still live in a fantasy world of rumors and gossip. They will be happy with that."
Paris went on to criticize Hollywood's "greasy" biopic model in general: "The story is controlled, there are a lot of inaccuracies and a lot of outright lies. Ultimately, I don't find it reasonable at all. Just enjoy it. Do whatever you want. Don't let me interfere."
The biopic has been in the works since at least 2019. It was previously reported that the project had to be rewritten and reshot after one of Michael Jackson's accusers was unable to appear for legal reasons. However, a source close to the production has denied this.
Michael Jackson's nephew Jaafar Jackson will star as the pop superstar alongside a cast that includes Miles Teller, Nia Long and Kat Graham. Michael is set to be released on April 24, 2026.
