The commune police, along with other local forces, actively participated in disseminating information and implementing measures to prevent and combat drowning in the area.
Lieutenant Colonel Ta Tien Dung, Head of the Binh Phu Commune Police, stated: “Binh Phu has many favorable conditions for socio-economic development, but it also harbors many complex factors regarding security and order. We are determined to proactively grasp the situation at the grassroots level, closely manage the area and individuals, promptly detect and handle emerging incidents; and at the same time, promote the role of the people in building a solid people's security posture, contributing to maintaining peace and security in the area.”
Following the directives of the Provincial Police and local Party committees and authorities, the commune police have proactively advised on incorporating the task of ensuring security and order into key resolutions and work programs; closely coordinating with the Fatherland Front, political and social organizations, and the mass mobilization system to promote propaganda and mobilize the people to participate in maintaining security and order. In addition, the unit regularly reviews its area, closely manages individuals at risk of violating the law, and strengthens patrols and controls in residential areas, traffic routes, and areas with large crowds.
One of the key solutions that has been effectively implemented is strengthening the forces participating in maintaining security and order at the grassroots level. Currently, the entire commune has 108 members participating in maintaining security and order in 36 residential areas. Along with that, self-governing models continue to be maintained and effectively promoted, such as: "Security cameras," "Zalo security," "Peaceful religious communities," "Prevention of child abuse," "Safe traffic at school gates," "Management, education and assistance for former prisoners to reintegrate into the community," "Combating cybercrime," etc. This creates a strong bond between the police force and the people in maintaining security and order.
Thanks to the synchronized implementation of professional measures and the promotion of the strength of the nationwide movement to protect national security, the security and order situation in the commune has been basically maintained. In the first six months of 2026, political security remained stable, with no complex incidents arising related to land compensation, environmental pollution, or large gatherings causing disruption to public order...
In the field of crime prevention and control, the commune police received 6 reports and denunciations of crimes; directly investigated, resolved, and prosecuted 5 cases with 15 defendants, including 3 gambling cases with 13 defendants and 2 cases of illegal possession of narcotics with 2 defendants.
Typically, on the night of January 17th, the commune police discovered and apprehended five individuals gambling using the "Lieng" card game at the Hoa Hong guesthouse in Dinh area. The seized evidence included 5.37 million VND in cash and other related items. Based on the initial verification by the commune police, the case has been prosecuted and handled according to the law.
Subsequently, on March 1, 2026, during a patrol in Zone 6, the commune police task force discovered and apprehended three individuals transporting and trading illegal firecrackers. The seized items included 120 boxes containing 751 sets of foreign-made firecrackers, totaling over 2 tons. That same night, the commune police continued their investigation, identifying two more related individuals and completing the case file for handover to the Criminal Police Department of the Provincial Police for appropriate action. This is one of the notable cases demonstrating the proactive and decisive spirit of the commune police force in combating crime and violations of the law.

The local police have increased patrols to ensure security and order in the area.
Along with the fight against crime, the effectiveness of state management in maintaining security and order continues to improve. In the first six months of the year, the commune police coordinated in handling 5 cases of environmental violations with fines totaling 27.5 million VND; handled 3 cases of economic violations with fines totaling 6 million VND; fined 6 cases of residence violations with fines totaling 4.5 million VND; and fined 2 cases of fire safety violations with fines totaling 4 million VND.
Public awareness and mobilization efforts were emphasized, with over 18 news articles and reports promoting crime prevention, drug control, traffic safety, fire prevention and control, and methods and tactics of online fraud.
The unit currently manages 36 people serving criminal sentences in the commune and 30 people who have completed their prison sentences and returned to the locality; at the same time, it has encouraged people to surrender 6 swords, 1 homemade gun, 3 bullets, 1 saber and 1 dagger, contributing to preventing potential crime.
In the coming period, the Binh Phu Commune Police will continue to strengthen intelligence gathering, closely manage the area and individuals; improve the effectiveness of forces participating in maintaining security and order at the grassroots level; promote the role of self-governing models and strengthen the movement of "All People Protecting National Security". At the same time, they will focus on preventing and combating all types of crime, especially drug-related crimes, gambling, and online fraud.
With a sense of responsibility and dedication to serving the people, the Binh Phu Commune Police force continues to affirm its role as the core force in ensuring security and order at the grassroots level, maintaining peace in each residential area, and creating a stable environment for sustainable socio-economic development of the locality.
