Part 1: Our army comes from the people and fights for the people.

In the context of the nation entering the "Era of National Resurgence," hostile forces continue to intensify their "peaceful evolution" strategy, seeking every means to distort and incite unrest in order to separate the People's Army from the Party's leadership and divide the solidarity between the military and the people. The vivid practical experience in responding to and overcoming the consequences of incidents, natural disasters, and epidemics, and participating in programs to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses, etc., by the armed forces of Phu Tho province, is compelling evidence affirming that our army originates from the people, fights for the people, and will forever be a reliable support for the Party committees, government, and people of the Fatherland.

The Party's "steel shield," the people's pillar of support.

Identifying tactics used to distort and divide the relationship between the military and the people.

In the new stage of national development, as the entire Party, people, and army are working together to lead the nation into a new phase of development, hostile and reactionary forces have never abandoned their plot of "peaceful evolution." One of the dangerous spearheads of their subversive activities is promoting the idea of " depoliticizing " the military.

They put forward many fallacious arguments such as: The military should only perform national defense and security duties; it should not participate in labor, production, or economic development; the military's involvement in labor and production functions is "more harmful than beneficial"; the military only needs to be a fighting force and does not need to perform the functions of a working force or a labor and production force...

They also spread propaganda such as: "The military needs to be neutral," "The military belongs to the state and is not under the leadership of any political party," or "The military should not participate in civilian, economic, or social activities"...

Part 1: Our army comes from the people and fights for the people.

Part 1: Our army comes from the people and fights for the people.

Hostile forces are always looking for ways and tactics to distort and tarnish the image of the armed forces.

In Phu Tho , whenever natural disasters, incidents, or social problems arise, distorted narratives appear in various forms. Particularly after the collapse of the Phong Chau bridge, many individuals took advantage of the situation to spread false information, distort the nature of the event, assign blame unilaterally, incite public opinion, and falsely claim: “The Phong Chau bridge collapse was due to government negligence”; “Officials cut down forests and exploited hydropower plants, pocketing trillions of dong for themselves, while the people bear the consequences of floods with their lives.”

More recently, when the provincial armed forces assisted the people in harvesting flooded rice in many localities such as Dan Chu, Van Lang, and Xuan Vien communes, distorted opinions emerged, claiming that this was merely a "show-off" or "formalistic" activity.

Following the implementation of the two-tiered local government model, the organization of the local military apparatus was adjusted to meet the requirements of reforming state management and national defense tasks in the new situation.

However, whenever a locality organizes a regional defense exercise or adjusts its operational mechanisms, distorted narratives reappear, denying the role of the local military forces.

The essence of these arguments is nothing more than a conspiracy to dilute the goals and ideals of the Army's struggle; to gradually separate the Army from the absolute and direct leadership of the Party in all aspects, thereby impacting the political and ideological foundations of the regime.

Part 1: Our army comes from the people and fights for the people.

The provincial armed forces assisted the people of Dan Chu commune in harvesting rice crops that were affected by flooding.

However, historical and real-life experience has proven the opposite: the strength of the Army does not only come from weapons and equipment, but first and foremost from its revolutionary nature, from its blood-and-flesh relationship with the People.

The image of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" is not just a symbolic slogan, but is forged from the sacrifices and contributions of many generations of officers and soldiers throughout more than 80 years of building, fighting, and maturing.

In the midst of hardship, the qualities of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" shine brightly.

There's no need to look far; the most convincing answer to these distorted claims is the image of officers and soldiers of the Phu Tho Provincial Armed Forces present in the most difficult and dangerous places to protect the lives and property of the people.

Phu Tho is the cradle of the nation, the confluence of three major rivers, and also a region frequently affected by natural disasters, storms, and floods. For the soldiers of the Fatherland, natural disasters are the "enemy" in peacetime, and saving the people is a combat mission in peacetime.

When storms and floods occur, when the line between life and death becomes thin, people don't see the "keyboard warriors" on social media. What they see first and last is always the green uniform of the soldiers, the image of officers and soldiers of the main army, local troops, and militia on the front lines of rescue and relief efforts.

In 2024, due to the severe impact of Typhoon No. 3 (Yagi), from September 7-11, 2024, prolonged heavy rain combined with the release of water from hydroelectric dams caused water levels in rivers to rise, resulting in significant damage to people and property.

Part 1: Our army comes from the people and fights for the people.

The Provincial Military Command established a field command post to organize search and rescue operations at the time of the Phong Chau bridge collapse.

In response to this situation, the Provincial Military Command mobilized tens of thousands of officers, soldiers, and militia members, along with numerous vehicles, to coordinate with units of Military Region 2 in evacuating people, conducting rescue operations, and mitigating the consequences of the natural disaster.

In a short period of time, the armed forces organized the emergency relocation of more than 12,000 households from dangerous areas; and assisted more than 4,600 households in returning to stable lives.

When the Phong Chau bridge collapsed, the Provincial Military Command quickly established two command centers at the scene, coordinating with relevant departments, agencies, and localities to carry out search and rescue operations; and simultaneously prepared to cooperate with engineering units to implement a plan for installing a pontoon bridge.

The order to save the people does not wait for administrative documents. It is an order from the heart, the natural essence of the Vietnam People's Army. During the period 2020-2025, the Provincial Military Command mobilized more than 40,850 officers and soldiers along with hundreds of vehicles to participate in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters and epidemics in the area.

Not only shining brightly during natural disasters, the image of "Uncle Ho's soldiers" is also affirmed through the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses. Undeterred by difficulties and hardships, officers and soldiers directly transported materials, dug foundations, built houses, and contributed labor to help hundreds of poor households and families entitled to preferential policies stabilize their living situation. For them, each completed house is not just a warm home, but also a responsibility, an expression of affection, and a deep, blood-related bond with the people.

In anticipation of the 80th anniversary of the Day of War Invalids and Martyrs (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2027), demonstrating the determination of the entire political system in fulfilling its sacred responsibility towards those who sacrificed for the Fatherland, the Provincial Military Command is mobilizing officers and soldiers to coordinate with functional forces, participating day and night in the "500-Day Campaign to Intensify the Search, Collection, and Identification of Martyrs' Remains," aiming to find 6,416 graves of martyrs lacking information or whose identities have not yet been determined; and 907 pieces of information on martyrs' remains that have not yet been collected.

This is not merely a professional duty, but first and foremost a profound expression of the moral principle of "drinking water and remembering the source," a sacred political responsibility of our Party, State, and people; an expression of gratitude to those who have dedicated their entire lives to the Fatherland.

Part 1: Our army comes from the people and fights for the people.

The Provincial Military Command is surveying and searching for the remains of fallen soldiers in Phu Ninh commune as part of the "500-day campaign to intensify the search, collection, and identification of the remains of fallen soldiers" currently being implemented in the province.

The presence of the armed forces of Phu Tho province on the front lines of disaster prevention and control, rescue operations, participation in the program to eliminate temporary housing, and paying tribute to the sons and daughters of the Fatherland who sacrificed for the country, continues to affirm three fundamental principles:

Firstly, the Army and the People are an inseparable unity. The close relationship between the army and the people is the foundation that creates the strength of the Vietnam People's Army.

Secondly, the Party's leadership is the decisive factor in the combat strength of the armed forces. Party leadership, a loyal army, and a united people create a combined strength to defend the Fatherland.

Thirdly, the function of the "working army" continues to be affirmed in the new conditions. The active participation of the armed forces in socio-economic development, disaster prevention and control, and caring for the people's lives is proof that refutes the argument that the Army should only "stay in barracks".
