Announcement of the Decision to establish the Nghe An - Soviet Nghe Tinh Museum

On the morning of June 25th, in Vinh City, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Nghe An Province held a ceremony to announce the Decision to establish the Nghe An - Soviet Nghe Tinh Museum, based on the merger of two units: the Nghe An Museum and the Soviet Nghe Tinh Museum, according to Decision No. 1473/QD-UBND dated May 23, 2025, of the People's Committee of Nghe An Province.

The Nghe An - Nghe Tinh Soviet Museum, under the Nghe An Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, is a public service unit with the function of preserving and promoting the value of typical historical and cultural heritage of the province, with an emphasis on the historical value of the Nghe Tinh Soviet movement of 1930-1931, the first typical revolutionary movement led by the Communist Party of Vietnam .

At the ceremony, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced decisions regarding the museum's organizational structure and personnel. Accordingly, Ms. Le Thu Hien, former Director of the Nghe Tinh Soviet Museum, was appointed Acting Director of the Nghe An - Nghe Tinh Soviet Museum.

The four appointed Deputy Directors are: Mr. Le Ngoc Thinh - former Deputy Director of the Nghe Tinh Soviet Museum; Ms. Tran Thi Hong Nhung - former Deputy Director of the Nghe Tinh Soviet Museum; Mr. Cao Manh Lan - former Deputy Director of the Nghe An Museum; and Ms. Phan Thi Ha Long - former Deputy Director of the Nghe An Museum.

The merger of the two museums is of significant importance, contributing to the province's policy of streamlining public service units for greater efficiency, while simultaneously improving operational efficiency and promoting the value of the revolutionary cultural heritage of Nghe An province, especially the heritage of the Nghe Tinh Soviet movement.
