At the conference, the representative of the Customs Department announced Decision 966/QD-BTC dated March 5, 2025 of the Minister of Finance on the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational structure of the regional customs branch under the Customs Department and announced the decision of the Customs Department on the regulations of offices, departments, teams, and border gate/outside border gate customs under the regional customs branch.
Accordingly, after the reorganization, the Customs Department has 20 affiliated branches nationwide. Of which, the Customs Branch of Region VI has 7 units including: Office; Personnel Organization Department; Information Technology Department; Risk Management Department; Customs Operations Department; Customs Control Team; Re-assembly and Post-clearance Inspection Team.

Customs at border gates/outside border gates under the Customs Branch of Region VI includes 10 units: Dong Dang International Railway Station Customs, Huu Nghi International Border Gate Customs, Tan Thanh Border Gate Customs, Coc Nam Border Gate Customs, Chi Ma Border Gate Customs (Lang Son province); Tra Linh International Border Gate Customs, Ta Lung Border Gate Customs, Soc Giang Border Gate Customs, Po Peo Border Gate Customs and Ly Van Border Gate Customs ( Cao Bang province).
The conference also announced the decision of the Director of the Customs Department on the appointment and transfer of the Deputy Director of the Customs Sub-Department of Region VI. Accordingly, the transfer and temporary appointment of 5 civil servants to the position of Deputy Director of the Customs Sub-Department of Region VI, the appointment period is from March 15, 2025.
Speaking at the conference, Deputy Director of the Customs Department Au Anh Tuan said that the establishment of the Regional Customs Branch VI in the first quarter of 2025 is of special importance, helping the branch's leaders review, adjust, and promptly develop the goals, tasks, and work plan for 2025 (on the basis of the annual work plan tasks of the Lang Son Customs Department and the former Cao Bang Customs Department).
Deputy Director Au Anh Tuan also suggested that the Customs Branch of Region VI should inherit the results achieved in 2024, based on actual conditions, new task requirements and general development orientation of the industry, of the two provinces of Lang Son - Cao Bang. At the same time, the Customs Branch of Region VI needs to set out a program and work plan, setting the goal of building a strong unit, developing with a new, flexible, effective and comprehensively innovative direction.

Mr. Vy Cong Tuong (born in 1965, Deputy Director of Lang Son Customs Department), term of appointment until retirement.
