"Red Aspiration" not only tells the story of a soldier's ideals but also the internal struggle between duty and personal life. Through the story of the family of Major General, Professor, and Doctor Hoang An, former Deputy Director of the Military Medical Academy, the musical guides viewers into the life of a soldier's family in a modern, turbulent society. From there, it reflects the pressing issues facing intellectuals working in the military, such as life ideals, the concept of dedication, material enjoyment, emotional needs, marital bonding, and the sense of social responsibility of a soldier.
The musical, staged by a creative team, breathes the spirit of contemporary Broadway musicals, utilizing diverse musical styles (ballad, pop, rock), and featuring 60 artists, actors, and musicians from the Military University of Culture and Arts and the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet Theatre. The dramatic and emotionally charged situations gradually resolve ideological disagreements between generations, individuals within a family, and society as a whole; simultaneously inspiring and encouraging people to respect and preserve traditional values, striving towards noble ideals, great ambitions, and a desire to contribute, illuminating the spirit of dedication to the peace of the Fatherland and the well-being and happiness of the people, embodied by the soldiers of Uncle Ho in peacetime.
At the end of the program, delegates went on stage to present flowers and commend the artists' creativity and dedication in delivering a performance of high ideological and artistic value, guiding the audience towards truth, goodness, and beauty.
