Intel launches Core Ultra Series 3, ushering in the era of AI PCs.

Intel officially introduced the Intel Core Ultra Series 3 at CES 2026, the first line of processors manufactured using the Intel 18A process – the most advanced semiconductor technology currently available. This event marks a major turning point in the computing industry, as Intel reaffirms its leading position in the next generation of AI PCs with superior performance, powerful graphics, and groundbreaking battery life.

The Core Ultra Series 3 will be featured in over 200 PC models from global partners, delivering more efficient multitasking, gaming, content creation, and mobile work. In particular, high-end versions like the Core Ultra X9 and X7 integrate powerful Intel Arc GPUs, supporting up to 16 CPU cores, 12 Xe graphics cores, and an NPU reaching 50 TOPS, resulting in up to 60% higher multi-core performance, 77% faster gaming speeds, and up to 27 hours of battery life.

Beyond PCs, Intel Core Ultra Series 3 is also certified for deployment in edge devices serving industrial applications such as robotics, smart cities, automation, and healthcare . Edge AI processing capabilities are significantly improved, with nearly double the performance of large language modeling and 2.3 times better video analytics performance.

The first laptops using the Core Ultra Series 3 will go on sale starting January 6th and will be available globally from January 27th. Meanwhile, edge computing systems will appear on the market from Q2 2026.

xAI raises $20 billion in Series E funding.

Elon Musk's artificial intelligence company xAI has just announced that it has successfully raised $20 billion in its Series E funding round, with participation from major investors such as Valor Equity Partners, Fidelity, Qatar Investment Fund, and strategic partners such as Nvidia and Cisco.

The new funding will be used by xAI to expand its data center and develop the Grok AI models – chatbots developed by the company and integrated into the X social media platform (formerly Twitter). According to xAI, there are currently around 600 million monthly active users on X and Grok, demonstrating the growing scale and influence of the AI ecosystem led by Musk.

However, the rapid development of xAI has also brought serious consequences. Last weekend, X users requested Grok to create deepfakes depicting real people sexually – including children. Alarmingly, Grok did not refuse but actually created child sexual abuse (CSAM) content and non-consensual pornography.

The incident led to xAI being investigated by international authorities, including the European Union, the United Kingdom, India, Malaysia, and France.

The participating teams showcased unique robot dance performances, combining programming techniques, robot design, and performance art, creating a vibrant and inspiring atmosphere. The humanoid robots were programmed to perform complex dance moves, demonstrating their ability to interact and react flexibly to music and the environment.

According to the organizers, the tournament aims to promote technological exchange between countries and encourage young people to explore the potential of artificial intelligence and robotics in modern life. This is also part of China's strategy to expand cooperation with ASEAN on innovation and digital industry development.
