Pressure from capital resources and climate change
Dak Uy Coffee Company, located in Dak Ha commune, Quang Ngai province, currently manages 421 hectares of coffee, including 294 hectares of coffee already in production, nearly 127 hectares of coffee under basic construction, and 36 hectares of rubber, including 12 hectares of rubber in production and 24 hectares of rubber under basic construction.
Mr. Phan Van Gioi, Deputy Director in charge of the company, frankly shared that the biggest obstacle currently facing the company is its extremely difficult financial situation. In particular, the capital needed to implement coffee replanting projects is stalled because banks are not providing loans.

Besides financial pressure, the irrigation infrastructure is also a major challenge. Due to its location at the end of the water supply, the company's canals and ditches have deteriorated and are severely damaged, failing to meet the irrigation needs during the dry season for both commercial and construction areas.
Mr. Gioi stated: The 2025 coffee crop season experienced several storms, including Typhoon No. 13, which directly hit the central and Central Highlands provinces, causing damage to coffee and rubber plantations and significantly impacting the progress and quality of replanting and commercial plantations. Some plantations were damaged by fungi, nematodes, and beetles, leading to poor growth and a high mortality rate. Although the company and workers implemented many preventative measures, the effectiveness was not high.
"Although the unit and workers have implemented many disease prevention measures, the effectiveness has not met expectations. In addition, the area of aging coffee plantations that have reached the end of their business cycle and have low yields also directly affects the lives of the workers," Mr. Gioi said.
The sweet fruits of unity.
Despite adverse weather conditions and disease outbreaks, Dak Uy Coffee Company achieved impressive business results in 2025 thanks to the collective efforts of all its staff and workers.

With a coffee harvest of 4,496 tons of fresh fruit, averaging 15.5 tons of fresh fruit per hectare, and a rubber production of 54,069 tons of liquid latex from a total area of 36 hectares (nearly 12 hectares already in production), total revenue reached VND 81.333 billion and profit VND 10.728 billion. This clearly demonstrates the strong management capabilities of the leadership and the resilience of the workforce.
Entering 2026, Dak Uy Coffee Company will continue to persistently implement the contract-based employment plan for the period 2023-2027 to link the responsibilities and rights of its employees.
Mr. Phan Van Gioi shared: “This year, the company will intensify emulation movements in labor, production, and business. At the same time, we will strongly promote the movement for skilled and innovative workers. The ultimate goal is to strive for the highest productivity and quality, optimize costs to lower prices, and thereby bring high profit margins to the unit.”
Specifically, the company will focus on intensive investment and care to ensure the stable and sustainable development of the plantation system. The technical objectives are clearly defined. Investment in coffee plantation care aims for a yield of over 3 tons of coffee beans per hectare, and 4.3 tons of latex per hectare for rubber trees. The company will also ensure the timely supply of fertilizers and other materials to support production and business operations, and to purchase products for profitable sales.
“Regarding financial targets, Dak Uy Coffee Company aims for total revenue of approximately 81 billion VND in 2026. We expect pre-tax profit to reach 6 billion VND. With our solid foundation and the enthusiastic spirit of competition among all employees, the company is confident that we will exceed the set targets and continue to make a positive contribution to the local agricultural sector,” Mr. Gioi shared.
