Assign teachers to provide psychological support.

Regarding the case of a teacher accused of slapping a student during a test, on May 19th, in an interview with VietNamNet, the leader of Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Secondary School stated that the school has just assigned a teacher to provide psychological support to TGVT, the 8th-grade male student involved in the incident.

According to the leader, T. had pre-existing psychological problems, so when the above situation occurred, she was frightened and it affected her studies and exams.

"This teacher will coordinate with the class homeroom teacher to help T. with her studies and to stabilize her mental state," said the leader of Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Secondary School.

The incident occurred on May 9th during a second-semester Geography exam. Student TGVT showed signs of using unauthorized materials. At this time, teacher NTX (the invigilator) noticed and slapped T. in the face. This incident was recorded by the school's security camera.

Parents filed a complaint against the teacher with the school's leadership. Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Secondary School sent its inspection department to verify the incident and confirmed its occurrence, reporting it to the relevant authorities.

On May 17th, the People's Committee of Tan An Ward, Buon Ma Thuot City, held a meeting with the relevant parties. During the meeting, Ms. X. admitted to slapping student T. and apologized to the student's parents.

Authorities are finalizing the paperwork to process the female teacher's case according to the law.
