The race to expand paid AI in Vietnam

AI service packages in Vietnam are increasingly diverse with affordable prices, suitable for individual users with different needs.

Google has just expanded its AI Plus service package to more than 40 countries, including Vietnam. First launched in September, AI Plus allows users to experience Google's AI models at a low cost, increasing the usage limit compared to the free version.

In the context of AI tools becoming more and more popular in Vietnam, in addition to the free version, big companies such as Google, OpenAI and Microsoft also offer many paid packages to compete for market share, attracting those who are willing to pay to own superior AI.

3 Google AI packages in Vietnam

Google is one of the companies that offers a variety of options. In Vietnam, the company maintains 3 packages including AI Plus, AI Pro and AI Ultra. Of which, the newly launched Google AI Plus has the lowest cost, suitable for individual users with basic usage and research needs.

AI Plus provides access to the Gemini 2.5 Pro model and many extended features in NotebookLM such as increased reference limit, interactive analytics with public notes, team collaboration, increased video /audio creation limit...

The AI ​​Plus plan also increases the usage limit for Deep Research in Gemini. This feature allows you to research topics in depth by referencing information on the Internet, synthesizing and analyzing it into detailed reports. Users also have more usage of the Nano Banana imaging model in Gemini.

According to Google, AI Plus also integrates Gemini right into applications like Gmail, Google Sheets, Google Docs and many other tools, helping to compose documents, plan or create presentations quickly.

“Gemini makes everything easier, from creating a neat to-do list, to creating a summary with NotebookLM to understand content faster, to composing a professional email in Gmail ready to send,” Google said in a statement.

Google AI Plus supports Veo 3 models, accesses advanced features in the Flow and Whisk video creation tools, and provides 200GB of storage across Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Photos, allowing sharing across up to five accounts.

With the launch of AI Plus, Google is offering 3 different AI packages to Vietnamese users. Of which, AI Plus costs 122,000 VND/month. First-time subscribers get a 50% discount for the first 6 months, down to 61,000 VND/month.

The mid-range AI Pro package costs 489,000 VND/month. Users are given 2 TB of storage instead of 200 GB. In Gemini, usage limits for features like Deep Research are expanded, the token limit is increased from 128,000 to 1 million.

The number of credits when using Veo 3 also increases to 1,000 credits/month, allowing for more video creation. Users can also access AI tools in Google Meet such as automatic notes, meeting summaries, conversation translation... These are features not supported on AI Plus.

AI Ultra is Google's most premium package in Vietnam. Priced at VND6 million/month, this package offers 30 TB of storage, Veo 3 credits increased from 1,000 to 25,000 credits/month, along with a YouTube Premium subscription package.

AI Ultra users have access to 2.5 Deep Think in Gemini, Google’s most advanced reasoning model to date, which can create multiple agents to solve a problem simultaneously. This process requires more resources but often yields better results.

Other options

Google is not the only company providing AI packages in Vietnam. OpenAI offers two options for individual users, including ChatGPT Plus ( 20 USD /month, about 530,000 VND) and ChatGPT Pro ( 200 USD /month, about 5.3 million VND).

Compared to Google AI Plus, ChatGPT Plus is 4x more expensive, gives access to the GPT-5 model with advanced inference, increased chat and file download limits, expanded research and agent modes, and access to the Sora video generation model.

ChatGPT Pro offers similar benefits, but with higher limits and faster speeds. Paid plans give users access to the GPT Store, which offers custom chatbots for a variety of purposes.

Compared to its competitors, ChatGPT still mostly operates independently, not integrated into many familiar services like Google AI. If using an iPhone and activating Apple Intelligence, users can call ChatGPT for some features like Siri, word processing or image creation.

Another tool is Microsoft Copilot. The company offers a Copilot Pro plan for 510,000 VND/month. Thanks to the OpenAI partnership, Microsoft subscribers can access the DALL-E model to create images in Microsoft Designer with additional tokens, or use GPT-5 for the Copilot chatbot.

Similar to Google's solution, Microsoft Copilot prioritizes access to the new model, deeply integrated into applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint but only for the web version. If you want to use it on traditional office software, users must buy a Microsoft 365 package.

Some AI services like Perplexity or Claude also support paid packages, which help expand features and usage limits. For individual users, Perplexity offers a Pro package for $20 /month (about 530,000 VND), Claude also has a Pro package ( 20 USD /month, about 530,000 VND) or Max ( 100 USD /month, about 2.6 million VND).
