Google has just expanded its AI Plus service to over 40 countries, including Vietnam. First launched in September, AI Plus allows users to experience Google's AI models at a lower cost, increasing usage limits compared to the free version.
With AI tools becoming increasingly popular in Vietnam, in addition to free versions, major companies like Google, OpenAI, and Microsoft also offer various paid packages to compete for market share and attract those willing to pay for superior AI capabilities.
Google's 3 AI packages in Vietnam
Google is one of the companies that offers a wide variety of options. In Vietnam, the company maintains three packages: AI Plus, AI Pro, and AI Ultra. Among these, the recently launched Google AI Plus is the most affordable, suitable for individual users with basic research and usage needs.
AI Plus provides access to the Gemini 2.5 Pro model and many expanded features in NotebookLM such as increased reference source limits, interactive data analysis with public notes, team collaboration, increased video /audio creation limits, etc.
The AI Plus package also increases the Deep Research usage limit in Gemini. This feature allows for in-depth research on topics by referencing information on the internet, synthesizing it, and then analyzing it into detailed reports. Users also have more uses for the Nano Banana imaging model in Gemini.

According to Google, AI Plus also integrates Gemini directly into applications such as Gmail, Google Sheets, Google Docs, and many others, helping users quickly create documents, plans, or presentations.
“Gemini makes everything easier, from creating neat to-do lists and summarizing with NotebookLM for faster understanding, to composing professional emails in Gmail ready to send,” Google announced.
Google AI Plus supports the Veo 3 model, providing access to advanced features in the Flow and Whisk video creation tools. Users also get 200 GB of storage across Gmail, Google Drive, and Google Photos, allowing sharing with up to 5 accounts.

With the launch of AI Plus, Google is offering three different AI packages to Vietnamese users. AI Plus costs 122,000 VND per month. First-time subscribers receive a 50% discount for the first six months, bringing the price down to 61,000 VND per month.
The mid-range AI Pro package costs 489,000 VND/month. Users are given 2 TB of storage instead of 200 GB. In Gemini, usage limits for features like Deep Research are expanded, and the token limit increases from 128,000 to 1 million.
The number of credits earned with Veo 3 also increases to 1,000 credits per month, allowing for the creation of more videos. Users can also access AI tools in Google Meet such as automatic note-taking, meeting summaries, and conversation translation... These are features not supported on AI Plus.
AI Ultra is Google's most premium package in Vietnam. Priced at 6 million VND per month, it offers 30 TB of storage, an increase in Veo 3 credits from 1,000 to 25,000 credits per month, and a YouTube Premium subscription.
AI Ultra users have access to 2.5 Deep Think in Gemini, Google's most advanced reasoning model to date, capable of generating multiple agents to solve a problem simultaneously. This process is resource-intensive but often yields better results.
Other options
Google isn't the only company offering AI packages in Vietnam. OpenAI offers two options for individual users: ChatGPT Plus ( $20 /month, approximately 530,000 VND) and ChatGPT Pro ( $200 /month, approximately 5.3 million VND).
Compared to Google AI Plus, ChatGPT Plus is four times more expensive and offers access to the GPT-5 model with enhanced inference capabilities, increased chat and file download limits, expanded research and agent modes, and access to the Sora video creation model.
ChatGPT Pro offers similar benefits, but with higher limits and faster speeds. With paid plans, users gain access to the GPT Store, which provides customizable chatbots for various purposes.
Compared to its competitors, ChatGPT mostly operates independently and has not been integrated into many familiar services like Google AI. If using an iPhone and activating Apple Intelligence, users can call ChatGPT for some features such as Siri, text processing, or image creation.

Another tool is Microsoft Copilot. The company offers a Copilot Pro package for 510,000 VND/month. Thanks to a partnership with OpenAI, Microsoft subscribers can access the DALL-E model to create images in Microsoft Designer with an additional token, or use GPT-5 for the Copilot chatbot.
Similar to Google's solution, Microsoft Copilot prioritizes access to a new model, deeply integrating into applications like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, but only for the web version. To use it with traditional office software, users must purchase a Microsoft 365 subscription.
Some AI services like Perplexity and Claude also offer paid packages, which expand features and usage limits. For individual users, Perplexity offers a Pro package for $20 /month (approximately 530,000 VND), while Claude also has Pro ( $20 /month, approximately 530,000 VND) or Max ( $100 /month, approximately 2.6 million VND) packages.
