(NADS) - After Super Typhoon Yagi passed, residents in Long Bien, Hanoi, are once again facing severe flooding as the Red River's water level rises to near alert level 3. Currently, the river water has receded, but many difficulties remain in restoring normal life for the people in the area.
By the afternoon of September 11th, the Red River floodwaters in Hanoi reached their peak. Monitoring data from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting at 1 PM showed the river's water level in Hanoi at 11.14 meters, 0.36 meters below alarm level 3. Residents living at the foot of Long Bien Bridge were the most severely affected by this flooding.
Currently, although the river water has receded, the damage left behind is enormous, and overcoming the consequences will not be easy.
