The competition will take place from March 15th to April 15th in an online format on the website: www.hamdocsach.vn.

Built around the overarching message "Read to build the future," the 2026 Reading Enthusiast Contest aims to ignite a love of books and foster a sustainable habit of self-learning and reading among students, developing their deep reading comprehension and critical thinking skills; while also connecting the roles of family and school in accompanying students on their journey of discovering knowledge.

The competition utilizes online testing technology, aiming to create a level playing field for intellectually gifted students from all regions.

The "Reading Enthusiast 2026" competition targets primary and secondary school students nationwide. Participants are divided into four categories based on grade level to ensure the content is appropriate for their reading comprehension abilities: Category A (Grades 1, 2); Category B (Grades 3, 4); Category C (Grades 5, 6); Category D (Grades 7, 8, 9).

Each contestant will have 20 minutes to complete the test, which consists of 20 multiple-choice questions related to the content of the books in the competition and one supplementary question predicting the number of participants.

The book selection, chosen by experts, is suitable for children and includes many familiar titles with profound humanistic values such as: "The Adventures of Cricket," "The Story of the Cat Who Taught the Seagull to Fly," "A Fierce Childhood," "The Green Lotus Bud," etc.

The total prize value amounts to over 1 billion VND with nearly 3,000 award categories, aiming to encourage the reading movement among students nationwide. The awards are not only for high-achieving individual contestants but also honor participating schools and express gratitude to teachers who "ignite" a reading culture.

As part of the competition, the Organizing Committee will hold various interactive activities at schools to encourage students to read.

Mr. Pham Huu Khanh, Director of Hadosa Bookstore and representative of the Organizing Committee, emphasized: “In recent years, there have been reading movements in many places in Vietnam, but we have also noticed that these movements have not spread widely. Therefore, the online reading competition called 'Reading Enthusiast' will help students across the country access the competition, contributing to the development of a reading culture that spreads widely in the community.”

In particular, the competition also encourages parents to accompany their children in reading, aiming to strengthen the bond between parents and children.
