First household forced eviction in Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Project through Long Thanh

(DN) - On May 16, the Land Reclamation Enforcement Board of Project Component 1, part of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Project of Long Thanh district, conducted the first enforcement of land reclamation at the household.

Accordingly, the Land Acquisition Enforcement Board has carried out enforcement against a household whose land is located on map sheet 24, Long Duc commune. During the enforcement process, this household complied with regulations and did not resist or obstruct.

Previously, on May 13, the Land Reclamation Enforcement Board of Project Component 1, under the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Project of Long Thanh District, issued Plan No. 02/PA-BCC to organize land reclamation enforcement; demolish houses and works, and relocate assets on land to implement Project Component 1 of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway Project.

In this plan, the committee will enforce land recovery for 15 households with land on map sheet 24, Long Duc commune. These are cases where the district has organized propaganda and mobilization. Basically, the people do not oppose or obstruct. However, they have requested state agencies to consider granting resettlement to stabilize their lives.

Through reviewing the provisions of current law, these cases are not eligible for resettlement, but are considered for registration to buy social housing.

From now until May 22, the district will continue to propagate and mobilize, combine with forced land recovery, demolition of houses and construction works, and relocation of assets on the land to hand over the site to the investor for construction.

The Bien Hoa - Vung Tau Expressway project through Long Thanh district is about 28km long, with a total area to be recovered of nearly 228 hectares, and the number of cases requiring land recovery is 2,786. Up to now, the district has cleared more than 99% of the land.
