According to Mr. Nguyen Anh Cuong, Chairman of Binh Hung Hoa Ward People's Committee, after receiving information from local people about a crocodile appearing in the Black Water Canal, the Ward People's Committee assigned people to guard the area to prevent children from playing and baiting, causing danger to themselves. After many days of searching, on the morning of July 21, the crocodile surfaced on the canal's surface, and a group of people approached, captured and took it out of the canal.

The crocodile appeared in the Black Water Canal for more than 2 weeks.

According to records, the fish is in the adult stage, the Ward People's Committee completed the procedures to hand it over to the Ho Chi Minh City Forest Rangers to raise and release it back into the natural forest environment.

The task force has been searching for the crocodile for many days.

According to some locals, this crocodile has been in the Black Water Canal for about 2 weeks now. Normally, the crocodile often comes to the surface of the water and goes to a mound to sunbathe before diving back into the canal. Many children in this area, when discovering the crocodile, used fishing rods to lure and tease it, which is very dangerous.
