Spreading the energy of youth
The Youth Union of the University of Education (Da Nang University) announced that from June 1st to July 6th, they organized a summer volunteer program in Tra Linh and Tra Leng communes with 9 teams, bringing together 100 volunteers.
The program included many meaningful projects and activities such as: repairing houses for disadvantaged families; implementing the "Lighting up the People's Roads" project with a length of 500m; training on recycling and reducing plastic waste, equipping people with knowledge of waste sorting at source, techniques for transforming waste into useful items, and methods for promoting environmental protection.
Simultaneously, they will transfer the technology for producing multi-purpose enzyme cleaning solutions from plant waste; support communication and promotion of the Tra Leng Cinnamon Festival, and design digital content…
According to Mr. Dong The Hung, Deputy Secretary of the Youth Union of the University of Education, the program aims to promote the pioneering and volunteer spirit of young people in participating in socio -economic development and sharing difficulties with the people. Through this, it contributes to educating the spirit of collective solidarity and creativity, bringing the volunteer movement to a deeper level and becoming an environment for cultivating awareness and character for students.
This summer, the Tay Giang Commune Youth Union is stepping up its efforts to promote digital transformation, aiming to raise awareness and improve digital skills among the people, especially young people in the border region.
The commune's Youth Union organized literacy classes with easily understandable content and format, suitable for each target group; at the same time, it strengthened the dissemination and connection of online learning, economic, and public service models with the national digital transformation network.
Simultaneously, the commune's youth union established volunteer teams to coordinate with the community's digital technology group, guiding people on the safe use of digital devices, the internet, social media, and basic software; providing training on e-commerce, online shopping, and cashless payments, contributing to changing consumer habits.
In particular, the application of digital technology in agricultural and forestry production, quality management, traceability, and community tourism promotion is emphasized, enhancing the value of local products.
Alang Crom, Secretary of the Tay Giang Commune Youth Union, shared that the commune's Youth Union will accompany young people and residents in accessing new business methods, building sales channels, producing promotional videos, livestreaming, managing orders and customer care; and connecting local products with the distribution system.
At the same time, support local people in building local product brands associated with digital platforms, gradually forming a digital economy mindset within the community.

Working together for the community
The Youth Union of the City People's Committee recently collaborated with the Duy Xuyen Commune Youth Union to organize the "Pink Holiday" volunteer campaign along with many community-oriented activities.
Notable projects include the youth project "Mutual Support for Building the Future," which involved installing 2km of public street lighting in Thi Lai village (Duy Xuyen commune) worth 300 million VND, contributing to improving living conditions and ensuring security and order in the locality; and the program "Enhancing Digital Capacity and Technology Application," equipping youth union members, young people, and local residents with digital knowledge and skills.
In addition, the organization provides healthcare services through general check-up programs and oral hygiene guidance for children; the "Connecting Heritage Destinations, Developing Tourism" program contributes to promoting the local image and boosting the tourism economy.
According to Mr. Nguyen Huu Viet Cuong, Secretary of the Youth Union of the City People's Committee, "Pink Holiday" is one of the key campaigns of the summer youth volunteer campaign, with the core force being Youth Union members and young people in the fields of cadres, civil servants, public employees, young entrepreneurs, young doctors, and workers.
This is an opportunity for young people to contribute their intellect, youthful energy, and professional expertise to serve the community; it is a practical environment to hone their character, enhance social responsibility, and spread the positive values of youth union members in the new era.
According to Le Cong Hung, Secretary of the Da Nang City Youth Union, this summer, youth union members will be present throughout Da Nang city, demonstrating their pioneering spirit and responsibility through many meaningful activities, such as participating in building new rural areas, implementing "lighting up rural roads" projects, supporting disadvantaged border communes, and organizing tutoring for children with special circumstances.
The summer youth volunteer campaign is expected to attract 5,000 to 10,000 young people. Through each campaign season, youth union members not only bring their youthful energy, knowledge, and enthusiasm to disadvantaged areas, but also contribute to connecting joy, igniting hope, and inspiring beautiful aspirations within the community.
