Notably, 100% of youth union branches simultaneously launched the second "Green Sunday" campaign in response to the 2026 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign, attracting a large number of youth union members and the public to participate.
Through environmental sanitation activities, landscape beautification, waste collection, and maintenance of youth-led roads, local youth continue to promote their pioneering and volunteer spirit, contributing to the construction of new rural areas and civilized urban areas.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu, who participated in the Green Sunday event with the Bac Kan Ward Youth Union, shared: "We worked together to clean up the environment, collect waste, clear bushes, and beautify the grounds of schools, units, agencies, and cultural centers... With the proactive and volunteer spirit of young people, these activities have contributed to raising awareness of environmental protection and building a green, clean, and beautiful landscape in the locality."
In order to raise awareness and equip young members and children with knowledge and skills to protect themselves, especially during the summer holidays, the Youth Union and the Children's Council of Bang Thanh commune organized a communication activity on the risks and causes of accidents, injuries, drowning, and acts of child abuse.
In addition, the children also learned about safety rules for playing and engaging in activities during the summer, especially in areas around rivers, streams, ponds, and lakes.
Chúng Minh Hiền, a student in class 4B at Bộc Bố Primary School (Bằng Thành commune), shared: "The older students guided me on skills to prevent and handle dangerous situations, as well as how to call for help and seek assistance when needed."

The 2026 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign will be implemented with 5 key programs and campaigns, including: the "Supporting Students During Exams" program, the Green Summer Campaign, the Red Phoenix Flower Campaign, the Pink Holiday Campaign, and the Green March Campaign.
The programs and campaigns focus on implementing activities to participate in building new rural areas, civilized urban areas, protecting the environment, digital transformation, caring for children and vulnerable groups in society. Through these, they promote the pioneering and volunteer role of young people in participating in socio-economic development at the local level.
Although the 2026 Summer Youth Volunteer Campaign has only just been launched, many activities have already been widely implemented. Specifically, the Provincial Youth Union mobilized resources to support the construction of 3 new houses worth 180 million VND, and the repair of 15 houses worth 450 million VND; donated 2 children's playgrounds worth 80 million VND, 5 community fitness areas worth 150 million VND, and 60 gift packages worth 78 million VND for disadvantaged individuals.
Currently, the province has 82,534 members participating in 414 grassroots youth union organizations, including 300 basic youth union branches and 114 basic sub-branches; with a total of 5,270 affiliated sub-branches.
According to Ms. Pham Thi Thu Hien, Secretary of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Youth Union: It is expected that during this summer, youth organizations will coordinate with many units to implement social welfare activities with a total resource value of hundreds of millions of VND. Many meaningful projects and initiatives will be donated, such as supporting the construction and repair of houses, building children's playgrounds, community sports areas, along with many gifts for disadvantaged students and children, contributing to bringing children in mountainous areas a more joyful, safe, and meaningful summer.
