On May 23, the People's Committee of Da Lat City announced that it had just decided to establish an Asset Inventory Council of the King Palace project (Palace 1) at 1 Tran Quang Dieu, Ward 10 (Da Lat City), consisting of 12 people representing the leaders of the departments, offices and the People's Committee of Ward 10, Da Lat Urban Services Joint Stock Company, chaired by the Head of the Department of Finance - Planning of Da Lat. At the same time, an expert from the Department of Price Management - Public Assets of the Department of Finance was invited to directly participate with the working group to receive, hand over, and develop a plan for auctioning the lease rights at Palace 1.

The Council is responsible for receiving, inventorying and managing state-owned assets that the state previously handed over to Hoan Cau Da Lat Joint Stock Company for lease or management; thereby, determining the origin of the assets, based on the handover records or previous leased asset handover minutes between the state agency and Hoan Cau Da Lat Joint Stock Company to determine and fill in asset information on the inventory form; not handing over or receiving other assets invested by Hoan Cau Da Lat Joint Stock Company during the asset lease process.
As for the assets recorded in the reports of the Department of Finance with an amount of over 17.1 billion VND, they will be recorded in the handover minutes as a basis for inclusion in the auction plan; the auction winner will return them to the company later.

The city requires each type of property handed over and received to be inventoried in its current condition, a record must be made of the quantity and quality of remaining use, images must be recorded and the value must be assessed at the time of receipt (except for flower gardens and ornamental plants that are not assessed in value). At the same time, the management and use of surplus and missing assets must be assessed; the difference in quantity, quality, and remaining value between the books previously handed over to Hoan Cau Da Lat Joint Stock Company must be assessed.
After unifying the data, the inventory council and Hoan Cau Da Lat Joint Stock Company signed the minutes of handover and acceptance of public assets including houses, land, constructions, architectural objects, artifacts, and ornamental plants in accordance with regulations and actual inspection; proposed measures to handle assets after inventory for assets that are no longer usable (if any).
When it was still open, Palace 1 welcomed many tourists.
As Thanh Nien reported, Palace 1 was built in the 1940s on a beautiful hill in Da Lat. At the end of 2014, Hoan Cau Da Lat Joint Stock Company was leased land, houses (for 50 years), and forests by Lam Dong Provincial People's Committee in 2015 to carry out the King Palace project and Palace I opened to welcome guests in September 2015.
However, the Government Inspectorate later pointed out that the land and housing leases for this project were illegal and recommended its revocation. On September 17, 2021, the Department of Planning and Investment issued a decision to terminate the investment activities of the King Palace project.
However, due to many unresolved issues (including refunds to businesses), it was not until April 26, 2024 that Palace 1 officially closed and stopped receiving guests.
