Heavy rain in Da Lat, many roads flooded

Early afternoon on June 16, a heavy rain caused many roads in Da Lat City (Lam Dong Province) to be deeply flooded, affecting people's daily life and traffic.

At the scene, low-lying roads such as Phan Dinh Phung, To Ngoc Van, Hai Thuong, Hoang Dieu, Xo Viet Nghe Tinh, Nguyen An Ninh, Yet Kieu... were severely flooded due to overloaded drainage systems.

Water from Phan Dinh Phung stream overflowed onto the road causing deep flooding.

Especially on Phan Dinh Phung Street, this area continued to recur the scene of water from the stream not draining in time and then overflowing onto the street and flooding the houses along this busy street. After about 1 hour, the water basically drained away, however, many of the residents' belongings and vehicles were damaged.

Similarly, Hai Thuong Street was also flooded, causing many vehicles to stall, forcing people to change direction to other routes to avoid danger.

Water mixed with mud from the hill flooded down Xo Viet Nghe Tinh street.

Phan Dinh Phung Street is still flooded even though the rain has stopped.

People's motorbikes left on the sidewalk were also flooded.

Hai Thuong Street was deeply flooded because the water could not drain fast enough.

A section of Yet Kieu Street was deeply flooded.

After the water receded, Phan Dinh Phung stream still flowed rapidly.

Houses along Phan Dinh Phung street were flooded.
