Da Nang waives 100% of tuition fees for students.

DNVN - On July 30th, the 19th session of the 10th term of the Da Nang City People's Council approved a Resolution to provide 100% tuition fee support for preschool children, primary and secondary school students, and students at vocational education institutions in the city for the 2024-2025 school year.

This resolution applies to preschool children, students of public general education schools (including students at continuing education centers following the general education program); preschool children and students of non-public general education schools; and private primary school students who are eligible for tuition fee reduction as stipulated. It does not apply to preschool children, general education students, and students of vocational education institutions or educational institutions with foreign investment.

Students in Da Nang will be exempt from tuition fees for the 2024-2025 school year.

Accordingly, 100% of tuition fees will be subsidized based on the tuition fee rates for public preschool and primary education in the 2024-2025 school year as stipulated by the Da Nang City People's Council, for the first nine months of the 2024-2025 school year.

100% tuition fee support will be provided to students studying general education subjects at public and private vocational education institutions, based on the tuition fee rates for public high schools in the 2024-2025 academic year as stipulated by the City People's Council, for a maximum of 9 months of the 2024-2025 academic year.

Students eligible for tuition fee reductions under central and city policies will receive a subsidy covering 100% of the tuition fees for public preschool and primary/secondary education in the 2024-2025 school year, as stipulated by the City People's Council. This subsidy does not apply to preschool children, primary/secondary school students, or students in vocational education institutions who are exempt from tuition fees under central and city policies.

The total estimated support budget is approximately over 108 billion VND, of which about 78 billion VND will be allocated to support preschool children and students in public schools (excluding those exempted from tuition fees according to central and city policies).

The estimated funding for supporting preschool children, students in non-public primary and secondary schools, students in private primary schools eligible for tuition fee reductions, and students studying high school general education and vocational education programs (excluding those exempted from tuition fees according to central and city policies) is approximately 30 billion VND.

Funding for this project will come from the Da Nang City budget allocated annually to the education sector according to the decentralized management system.
