In early June, Da Nang welcomed a MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) group of approximately 5,000 guests from WinCommerce General Trading and Service Joint Stock Company to visit, stay, and participate in activities in the city.

This is one of the largest MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) groups to visit Da Nang in 2026, further affirming the city's professional MICE event and tourism capabilities, and enhancing Da Nang's position as a leading destination in Central Vietnam and the country as a whole.

The tour, organized by Vietravel Tourism Joint Stock Company, includes various activities such as conferences, sightseeing, tourism experiences, relaxation, culinary delights, and cultural exchange programs at destinations throughout Da Nang city.

It's no surprise that Da Nang has become a top destination for large tour groups this summer, as in early May, Lonely Planet's travel guide ranked Da Nang second in its top 9 best summer destinations in Asia.

Ms. Tran Thi Kim Cuc, Director of the Vietnam MICE Center ( thuộc Vietravel Tourism Joint Stock Company), commented that Da Nang is a destination with many outstanding advantages for developing MICE tourism, with its synchronized infrastructure, quality service system, and many attractive tourism products.

According to the 2026 summer travel trends report by the world's leading online travel platform, "Booking.com," Da Nang maintains its position as the most popular summer destination for domestic tourists.

Specifically, Da Nang ranked number 1 in the top 10 most searched destinations for Vietnamese tourists for holidays from June 1st to August 31st, based on accommodation search data.

In particular, Da Nang ranked first in search results across all travel segments, from families and couples to groups and solo travelers. Additionally, Booking.com data shows that Hoi An also made it into the top 5 preferred destinations for couples and solo travelers.

According to representatives from Booking.com, this summer's search trends show a clear shift towards familiar, convenient, and relatively easy-to-plan destinations. At these locations, travelers can maximize their relaxation time and minimize any potential problems during their vacation.

Synchronizing solutions to stimulate customer demand.

With the opening of the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival 2026, which will run until July, Da Nang has even more reason to become a tourism hotspot in Vietnam this summer.

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism forecasts that the number of guests served by accommodation establishments in the city during the summer period from June to August will reach 6.2-6.5 million, an increase of 23-27% compared to the same period in 2025.

Of these, international visitors are estimated at over 2.5 million; domestic visitors are estimated at 3.7-4 million. The occupancy rate for 4-5 star hotels and equivalent is estimated at 75-80%.

In addition to the international fireworks festival, the city's Tourism Promotion Center reports that Da Nang will also have many other festivals, events, and activities to serve locals and tourists this summer.

Notable examples include: the Da Nang Enjoyment Festival; the 4th Da Nang Asian Film Festival; the Da Nang International Ginseng and Medicinal Herbs Festival; the Hoi An Creative Week; the An Hai Festival 2026; the Da Nang International Sea Music Festival; the Asian Age Group Wrestling Championships; the Pickleball World Cup; the VnExpress Da Nang International Marathon Herbalife Cup; the APL 2026 Mobile Legends: Bang Bang esports tournament; and the Central and Central Highlands Student Singing Festival 2026… This series of festivals and events is a crucial catalyst for attracting tourists to Da Nang to enjoy the summer.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, this summer, the tourism industry will participate in promotional activities at the ITE Ho Chi Minh City Fair; and organize a program to promote Da Nang's culture and tourism in South Korea.

At the same time, strengthen management to ensure a safe tourism environment. This includes focusing on ensuring service quality, security, and safety for tourists, combating harassment and touting; and deploying personnel and resources to ensure safe rescue and emergency response at tourist beaches.

In addition to the efforts of the tourism industry, several related agencies are also actively working together to ensure that visitors have a complete and fulfilling experience when coming to Da Nang.

For example, with a MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) group of 5,000 guests recently arriving in Da Nang, the city's police, the Department of Construction, and the Da Nang Railway Transport Branch, in accordance with their functions, provided support in maintaining security and order, planning transportation, and escorting the group to ensure a safe, smooth, and efficient stay in Da Nang.
