Through the photo exhibition, the public gained a deeper understanding of the beautiful country of Vietnam, the common home of 54 ethnic groups, forming a strong and enduring unity. The community of Vietnamese ethnic groups, formed and developed alongside thousands of years of nation-building and defense, has given Vietnam a beautiful, diverse, and unified picture, in which the cultural identities of each ethnic group are distinctive features. Dinh Thi Nhu Y, a student from the Central Ethnic Minority University Preparatory School in Nha Trang, said: “Seeing the exhibition, I saw the diverse beauty of Vietnam’s ethnic groups. I really enjoyed the photos of traditional festivals, portraits of young women and village elders from various ethnic groups. The exhibition included some photos of my H’rê ethnic group, which made me feel very proud and fond of them.” Yoon Hyeonjeong (a South Korean tourist ) shared: “I enjoyed looking at the photos on display here. I was also quite surprised to learn that your country has many ethnic groups living together, each with its own unique and distinctive cultural beauty. It would be easier for foreigners to understand if each photo had an English caption.”
Continue to spread
The photo exhibition "Colors of Vietnam's Ethnic Groups" is also an opportunity to honor, spread, and promote the unique and precious cultural values of Vietnam's ethnic groups. This is the first time the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, specifically the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibitions, has organized a photo exhibition introducing the 54 ethnic groups of Vietnam in Khanh Hoa . Sharing his thoughts on this, Mr. Ma The Anh, Director of the Department of Fine Arts, Photography and Exhibitions, said: “Khanh Hoa was chosen to host this exhibition because it is one of the provinces and cities with developed tourism activities, attracting many domestic and international tourists. It is also home to many ethnic groups, with typical and unique cultural identities and values. The exhibited works were commissioned and carefully selected from domestic photographers and journalists. In particular, the photographic works from Khanh Hoa province are of high artistic quality. The works express diverse content, showing the richness in the life, activities, culture, nature, and people of the 54 ethnic communities. After the exhibition, all the works will be donated back to the province, therefore, we hope that the relevant agencies of Khanh Hoa will continue to promote and introduce this collection of photos at events taking place in the province, or at events taking place domestically and internationally where the province is located.” "Participate. Through this, we can further spread the beauty of the diverse ethnic communities of Vietnam."
