Hanoi University of Pharmacy uses A-level scores for admission for the first time

(Dan Tri) - In 2025, Hanoi University of Pharmacy plans to enroll students using 4 methods, including using A-level scores for the first time.

4 admission methods include: Direct admission according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and admission combined with academic records and SAT certificates; considering academic records for specialized students or considering A-level certificates (British higher general education certificates); admission based on thinking assessment test scores of Hanoi University of Science and Technology; considering high school graduation exam scores.

This year, for the first time, Hanoi University of Pharmacy will consider candidates with A-level certificates. Candidates need to have the results of three subjects according to the admission combination in each major reaching 80/100 points or higher, in which Chemistry must score at least 90/100.

With SAT certificate, the condition is from 1400/1600 or higher for Pharmacy; 1350 for other majors.

The total admission target for 2025 of the University of Pharmacy is 940, including the places reserved for students of the Central Ethnic University Preparatory School.

Pharmacy has the largest enrollment of 760 students, including 30 places for the joint program with the University of Sydney, Australia.

Up to now, many medical and pharmaceutical schools have had enrollment plans for 2025.

Hanoi Medical University plans to basically maintain stable admission methods compared to last year:

- Method 1: Direct admission according to regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and Hanoi Medical University

- Method 2: Consider high school graduation exam scores

- Method 3: Admission based on combined graduation exam scores and international language certificates

- Method 4: Based on the Hanoi National University's capacity assessment test scores (HSA).

This year in particular, the school will open two new majors including Social Work and Medical Imaging Technology.

Previously, Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy announced its enrollment plan for 2025. The school will maintain the same enrollment methods as in 2024 and consider expanding the method in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training and social needs.

Hanoi University of Medicine and Pharmacy (Hanoi National University) plans to open an additional admission method for students with a university degree to study Medicine and Pharmacy from 2025. Accordingly, for this group of students, Medicine will take 4 years and Pharmacy will take 3 years.

Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine plans to increase enrollment targets in 2025 for the following majors: Traditional Medicine (up 20%); Nursing (up 10%); Pharmacy (up 30%).

Pham Ngoc Thach University of Medicine does not apply foreign language as a secondary criterion when considering equal scores as in 2024 and earlier.
