Reporters from Ca Mau Newspaper and Radio & Television had an interview with Mr. Le Minh Son, Director of the Ca Mau Provincial Museum, about this event.
- What are the special aspects of the preparations for the upcoming exhibition showcasing the socio-economic achievements of Ca Mau province, celebrating the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day, in Hanoi , sir?
*Mr. Le Minh Son: It is expected that from August 28th to September 5th, 2025, at the National Exhibition Center (Co Loa, Dong Anh, Hanoi), Ca Mau province will organize an exhibition showcasing socio-economic achievements after 80 years of nation-building, covering an area of nearly 380 m². The unit is urgently preparing and has completed the draft outline and budget for the exhibition and submitted it to the Organizing Committee. At this point, the official plan for the exhibition has also been finalized. The next step is the construction and implementation of the exhibition's contents.
The overall space for the exhibition showcasing the socio-economic achievements of Ca Mau province, celebrating the 80th anniversary of the nation's National Day, will soon be held in Hanoi.
The exhibition space is designed with a stylized shape inspired by the administrative map of Ca Mau province (new), comprising 7 display areas showcasing outstanding achievements in economics, society, culture, and tourism over 80 years of national construction, protection, and development. The exhibition also includes various supporting activities such as explanations, introductions to OCOP products , promotion of Ca Mau's unique cuisine, and a Southern Vietnamese traditional music performance.
During the exhibition, the province carried out vibrant, attractive, and proactive activities, taking advantage of the opportunity to invite leaders from the Central Government, Central Committees, Ministries, and Departments, as well as leaders of large economic groups and enterprises, to visit Ca Mau's exhibition space in order to promote the province's position.
In addition, there are performances of traditional Southern Vietnamese folk music, showcasing captivating folk songs such as Ly Dat Giong, Ly Con Sao, Ly Nam Can... and artistic exchanges between Ca Mau and Ninh Binh with unique performances such as traditional folk music, folk songs, Cheo opera, and Xam singing, blending Northern and Southern cultures to entertain tourists; and storytelling about Uncle Ba Phi...
This is also the first time that Ca Mau province will optimize the exhibition with supporting highlights from machinery, equipment, sound and lighting effects, digitalization and visual arts, showcasing the entire exhibition space on a large scale and with a strong appeal.
- Could you describe in more detail the distinctive features of the upcoming exhibition space?
*Mr. Le Minh Son: Several key highlights in the exhibition areas are expected to create a strong attraction and impression on delegates and guests. These include the entrance gate, reception area, and information center providing preliminary guidance and information to visitors and delegates; creating a professional, friendly initial impression, reflecting the unique identity of Ca Mau, while harmoniously combining modern branding, communication, and interaction elements.
The entrance gate features a 3D design in the shape of a curved "V," symbolizing Vietnam, Victory, and Aspiration. At the center of the gate is a stylized "80" symbol, incorporating a five-pointed golden star. Animated models of shrimp and crabs greet visitors with lively animation.

The check-in area is strongly influenced by the unique identity of Ca Mau province, drawing inspiration from symbols such as the geographical coordinate marker, the bow of a ship, a stylized zither and the "Da Co Hoai Lang" melody, crabs, shrimp, wind farms, and the legacy of the Bac Lieu Prince… combined with the use of appropriate props for visitors to take photos (three-leaf boats, traditional Vietnamese blouses, checkered scarves, conical hats, woven baskets…). LED screens continuously display short videos to introduce Ca Mau province and provide quick information about the exhibition.
The main exhibition area, with its chronologically arranged display space, begins with the period of land reclamation in Ca Mau, continuing through the formation, development, and future potential of the region. The final section features an image of a ship's bow reaching high and far – a symbol of aspiration for development – carrying with it the distinctive cultural values of Ca Mau.

Protecting the achievements of the revolution from 1976 to 1985 includes documents and images that demonstrate the resilience of the Party Committee, military, and people of Ca Mau in firmly protecting political security and maintaining political security in the southernmost region of the country after the war, culminating in the Victory of Revolution 12 (1981–1984).
The exhibition "The Mark of Ca Mau - Innovation and Integration" reflects the transformations of Ca Mau from 1986 to the present, with a flourishing economic restructuring. Highlights include the development of the fisheries, clean energy, renewable energy, and tourism sectors. Images showcase the Gas-Electricity-Fertilizer complex, Hon Khoai port, wind farms, aquaculture and fishing, seafood processing, and characteristic images of the marine economic ecosystem, as well as cultural, eco-tourism, and spiritual destinations such as Ca Mau Cape, U Minh Ha, Tac Say, and Quan Am Nam Hai.

Interspersed throughout are the typical cultural heritages of the province.
Each exhibition area boasts an impressive space with its own unique theme.
Next is the "Ca Mau - Aspiration for Further Development" exhibition space. This space showcases the sustainable development strategy of Ca Mau province, focusing on the province's strengths. It features dioramas and diagrams illustrating Ca Mau's prominent urban, transportation, and logistics systems, such as Hon Khoai port, the airport, and the expressway; images of the wind farm and the Song Doc coastal economic zone; and introductions to investment, trade, and tourism promotion programs such as the Ca Mau Shrimp Festival and the Vietnam Salt Festival – Bac Lieu…
In particular, the exhibition will feature a focal point showcasing the symbolic imagery of Ca Mau province. Four 3D reliefs of varying sizes, constructed using plaster, steel mesh, and canvas, will be created to highlight the exhibition space: the GPS coordinate marker 0001 (the original); interspersed with characteristic local products such as shrimp, crab, and salt; and images of Ca Mau's natural landscapes: mangrove forests, melaleuca forests, etc.
The exhibition also includes a space for OCOP product display areas to introduce and promote typical OCOP products such as salt, dried shrimp, dried fish, shrimp crackers, and distinctive local handicrafts, thereby attracting trade and tourism partners.
- We understand that the upcoming exhibition will also feature a space dedicated to books and digital interaction. Could you share more details about this highlight?
*Mr. Le Minh Son: The exhibition space of Ca Mau province will have a separate area for media, books, and digital interaction, creating a new highlight. The aim is to create a space with depth, stimulating awareness of Ca Mau's history and culture through books, documents, and digital interaction. This space will blend tradition and modernity, increasing interaction, exploration, inspiration, and impression, attracting visitors.

The space features an artistic book display showcasing books about the land and people of Ca Mau. Modern technology is applied to the area, including an LED screen displaying a timeline from 1945 to 2025, 30 short clips promoting tourism and culture, and a panoramic flycam view of Ca Mau. Additionally, there are interactive screens with digitized content: maps of historical sites and landmarks, and slides/videos about Ca Mau's culture and people. There is also an area for organizing mini-games.
The overall theme of the exhibition is "80 Years of Independence - Freedom - Happiness," while Ca Mau participates with the theme: "The Abundant Land of Ca Mau - 80 Years of National Day, Our Proud Homeland." We have invested a great deal of effort and expectation into the success of the upcoming exhibition, with great honor, responsibility, and pride. Through this exhibition, the image of the land and people of Ca Mau, with its distinctive cultural identity, glorious revolutionary traditions, rich natural resources, potential, and development achievements after the merger, will continue to be disseminated, adding vitality and enthusiasm to the new development path of Ca Mau - the sacred southernmost land of our Fatherland.
