This year, the whole province has nearly 10,000 candidates registered for the exam, including more than 9,400 12th graders and over 500 independent candidates. The exam is being held in all districts and cities with 22 exam sites; the education sector has mobilized nearly 2,000 officials and teachers to supervise and serve the exam. Before the exam day, the exam sites are fully prepared in terms of facilities, equipment and plans to ensure security, safety, traffic, electricity and healthcare. In particular, the government and schools have arranged accommodation for candidates living far away, supported those in difficult circumstances, and are determined not to let any candidate drop out of the exam due to travel difficulties or economic conditions.
At 22 exam sites, the exam organization was carried out seriously; all exam supervisors were thoroughly informed of the spirit of performing their duties in accordance with regulations but in a gentle and friendly manner to help candidates have the best mentality. During the 2 exam days, the whole province did not have any exam supervisors or teachers who violated the regulations (only 1 candidate was suspended for bringing a phone into the exam room).
During the 2 days of the exam at locations across the province, despite the hot weather, the functional forces and young volunteers were still present early to assist candidates entering the exam venue. On the roads and areas around the exam venue, the traffic police, commune and ward police all assigned officers and soldiers to patrol and control to ensure smooth and safe traffic; ensuring security and order at the exam venues. At most exam venues, the functional forces were present early at the school gate area to direct traffic to ensure candidates moved to the exam venue conveniently and safely. For example, on the morning of June 27 at the Na Duong High School exam venue, a candidate from Cang village, Khuat Xa, Loc Binh, due to carelessness, mistook the exam time. As soon as the information was received, the Traffic Police Department, Provincial Police used priority vehicles to pick up the student to the exam venue on time.
Accompanying candidates during this year's exam season, the whole province has over 2,000 union members and youths participating in the "Supporting the Exam Season" program. At each exam site, the green volunteer shirts are always present everywhere, enthusiastically supporting candidates from the smallest things such as guiding candidates to park their vehicles, directing traffic in front of the school gate, distributing free drinking water, arranging free motorbike taxis to pick up and drop off candidates, supporting candidates with keeping their belongings, cleaning the exam rooms and areas around the exam sites.
With the support of the support forces, the atmosphere at the testing sites is always orderly and safe, creating a comfortable atmosphere for candidates to feel secure in taking the test. Thanks to that, candidates can fully concentrate on taking the test. This year's test season, many teachers and candidates assessed that the basic test questions were within their ability, closely following the sample test structure of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET), with an appropriate level of differentiation. In particular, the Literature test according to the new program impressed with its creative and topical way of setting the questions, when not using materials in textbooks. While other elective subjects (belonging to the Natural Sciences and Social Sciences group) were considered "easy", many candidates said that the Math and English tests were quite difficult, requiring a high level of concentration.
Candidate Ha Quynh Anh, a student at Chu Van An High School for the Gifted, shared: “This year, I took 4 subjects, including 2 compulsory subjects: Math and Literature, and 2 elective subjects: Physics and English. For me, Physics was within my ability because the questions were easier than the sample test; while Math and English were quite difficult compared to the general level. Math had quite a lot of practical questions, while English had very long reading passages.”
In order to create confidence for candidates, parents have cared for and accompanied their children. From early morning, many parents brought their children to the exam site and patiently waited outside the school gate throughout the exam sessions. The familiar images we saw in areas outside the exam school were words of advice or gentle actions of fanning and thoughtfully giving water to children, which motivated and helped the children confidently pass the exam.
Mr. Dang Hong Cuong, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training, said: This year's high school graduation exam took place smoothly, safely, and according to plan. These positive results were achieved thanks to the thorough preparation and high sense of responsibility of all participating forces, from the education sector, local authorities to the police, youth union... In particular, the youth volunteer force with practical activities such as distributing drinking water, arranging free motorbike taxis, and supporting candidates to the exam room left a very beautiful image, contributing significantly to the success of the exam.
The successful conclusion of the 2025 High School Graduation Exam reflects the efforts of teachers, students and accompanying forces throughout the past time. This is also an important milestone, opening the door to the future for nearly 10,000 candidates after 12 years of studying. We believe that the candidates will achieve high results and confidently enter a new stage of life.
