Speaking at the opening of the Congress, Party Secretary and General Director of the Voice of Vietnam Do Tien Sy stated that the past 80 years have been a glorious journey for the Voice of Vietnam with the mission of providing information and propaganda to contribute to encouraging the entire nation to successfully fight for independence and unification of the country and carry out the renovation process, carrying out two strategic tasks of both building and firmly defending the socialist fatherland, firmly entering the era of national development.
With the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough - Development", the 27th Congress of the Party Committee of the Voice of Vietnam for the 2025-2030 term will promote collective intelligence and solidarity to set out directions, goals, unify tasks, and provide synchronous, comprehensive and effective solutions; strive to build a truly clean, strong, and exemplary Party Committee of the Voice of Vietnam, worthy of the glorious tradition of 80 years of construction, striving and growth, accompanying the country for the benefit of the nation and international integration."
The political report presented at the Congress clearly stated the results of implementing the targets of the Resolution of the Party Congress of the Voice of Vietnam for the 2020-2025 term, with many targets completed and exceeded. In particular, the Station has properly implemented the Government's press development and management plan; developed the Station's internal and external information on the basis of a multimedia, multi-format, multi-platform, and multi-lingual communication system.
Converting the program production technology process, applying new technology, applying artificial intelligence (AI) to the operation process, content management, content provision and distribution; achieving a staff reduction rate of 10% by 2021 compared to the staff assigned in 2015. Ensuring that by 2026, the number of employees will be at most 1,495 staff in accordance with Decision 73 of the Politburo .

Speaking at the Congress, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh commended and highly appreciated the Party Committee of Voice of Vietnam for proactively and successfully organizing the congress in 25 affiliated Party Committees and Party cells.
The political report and documents have been carefully prepared, the crystallization of the sense of responsibility and dedication of all cadres and party members in the Party Committee; seriously absorbing the direction of the Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee, comprehensively reflecting the results and achievements; pointing out the shortcomings and limitations in the past term.
As a national radio station, Voice of Vietnam has performed well its political functions and tasks of informing and propagating the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws; contributing to education, improving people's knowledge, serving the spiritual life of the people; successfully completing its assigned functions and tasks and the goals and tasks set forth in the Resolution of the 26th Party Congress of the Radio Station.
The Deputy Prime Minister highly appreciated the Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Party Committee of the Radio Station during the past term focusing on leading and directing the development, amendment, and supplementation of the system of regulations, rules, and instructions... in accordance with the regulations of the Party and the State, which are effective tools to manage and operate the Radio Station's activities more closely and systematically, upholding principles; overcoming previous shortcomings and limitations.
With nearly 550 domestic and international press awards that the Station has won in the past 5 years, including many of the highest awards, it shows the hard work and creativity of reporters and editors, and more importantly, it affirms the quality of professional work, with many areas of content and technique reaching international standards today.
The station also spreads its brand and role through many programs and events that are highly appreciated by the public such as: "Forever the bright guiding star", "Twinkling stars flying on the military flag", "Strong and rich from the homeland sea"...; is the pioneer press agency to launch a series of multi-form, multimedia political programs "Vietnam - The era of rising up",...

Most recently, the Politburo's quickness in propagating the "Quad Pillar Resolutions" to create social consensus to bring our country firmly into a new era.
"On behalf of the Standing Committee of the Government Party Committee, I warmly commend and respectfully acknowledge the efforts, important contributions and encouraging achievements of the Party Committee of the Voice of Vietnam in the past term," said Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh.
In addition to the achievements, the Congress needs to recognize, evaluate and analyze more clearly the shortcomings and limitations in the past term that were frankly pointed out in the Political Report and Review Report. The Deputy Prime Minister also requested the Standing Committee and the Executive Committee in the next term to have solutions to overcome them.
The goal of Vietnam entering a new era, becoming a rich and prosperous country and the people increasingly well-off and happy, sets new requirements with high determination and great aspirations. The revolution of streamlining the apparatus, arranging and organizing the 2-level local government is opening up a historic opportunity for the country to develop and realize the 2 100-year goals. This process is a mixture of opportunities and challenges both domestically and internationally.
In such a context, information and propaganda work is extremely important. With its position, role and glorious historical tradition, the Voice of Vietnam must truly make worthy contributions to best fulfill this task.
The Deputy Prime Minister agreed with the general goal set by the Voice of Vietnam Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term, which is to "promote heroic traditions, enhance leadership capacity and fighting strength; build a clean and strong Party Committee; promote innovation and digital transformation; develop a professional, modern and humane Voice of Vietnam".
To meet those requirements and goals, the Deputy Prime Minister requested the Party Committee of Voice of Vietnam to focus on implementing the following key tasks:
Firstly, the Voice of Vietnam needs to do better in its assigned political tasks, needs to deeply recognize its particularly noble political and social responsibility to the Party, State and people, promote its role as a key, multi-form, multi-media, multi-platform, leading regional press agency, develop rapidly and sustainably, and be a bridge connecting the Party's will and the people's hearts.
Well perform the task of bringing the Party and State's policies and guidelines to the people; strive to become a national radio station of international stature by 2045, right on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the country, which is also the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Voice of Vietnam.
Second, promote tradition, solidarity, democracy, and set an example. Pay more attention to the work of building organizations, building a clean and strong Party, and improving the leadership capacity and fighting strength of Party organizations and Party members.

Constantly innovate leadership methods, build a team of cadres and party members who are truly exemplary and model in professional ethics, steadfast in ideology, political stance and courage, loyal to revolutionary ideals, truly professional, good at expertise and profession, not only "writing fast, speaking well" but also "thinking correctly, speaking accurately, doing correctly", must have a pure heart - bright mind - steadfast courage, master technology and have the ability to adapt flexibly in all circumstances.
Third, the Party Committee of the Radio Station needs to lead and direct to maximize the benefits of science and technology, innovation and digital transformation in its operations. Artificial intelligence, big data, cloud computing, etc. are and will become effective and strategic tools to optimize the content production process, helping journalists save time and effort to focus on creating quality products, in the direction of multi-platform, multimedia, meeting the information and propaganda requirements of the country and the increasingly diverse information needs of the public.
Fourth, thoroughly grasp the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's mechanisms and policies to organize the production of appropriate, effective programs, rich in content and diverse in form, suitable for each region and audience, listener and reader. Participate in building new culture and people through rich, diverse and high-quality press and media programs and products, contributing to building an advanced Vietnamese culture, imbued with national identity, promoting the values of Vietnamese people, developing the cultural and entertainment industry.
Fifth, the Voice of Vietnam is not only a press agency but also a cultural agency. Therefore, the station needs to have many truly attractive radio and multimedia press products and works, contributing to the building of Vietnamese culture and the system of national values, the system of Vietnamese cultural values, and the system of Vietnamese family values.
Strongly arouse patriotism, love for humanity; national pride and self-respect; introduce Vietnamese culture to the world and vice versa, introduce the progress of human civilization to the Vietnamese people; nurture dreams, ambitions, will, and aspirations to contribute in the young generation; strongly spread the culture of creative entrepreneurship and business ethics; promote kindness and sacrifice; build a truly good society.
Promoting the 100-year tradition of formation and development of the Vietnamese revolutionary press and 80 glorious and heroic years of the Voice of Vietnam, accompanying the country's development, the Deputy Prime Minister believes that the Voice of Vietnam is truly the key and sharp press agency of the Party and State, continuing to grow strongly, affirming its pioneering role on the ideological and cultural front, serving the cause of national development, contributing to realizing the goal of building a prosperous, prosperous, civilized and happy Vietnam in the era of national development.
