Fiorentina has just announced the successful extension of goalkeeper David de Gea's contract until June 2028.

De Gea has decided to commit to Fiorentina long-term.

De Gea's old contract was valid until June 2026. However, Fiorentina recognized De Gea's crucial contributions and decided to reward the Spanish goalkeeper's efforts with a new contract extending until 2028.

According to Sportitalia , this new contract will bring De Gea around 2.7 million euros per season plus bonuses. This figure is almost double his previous salary in the 2024/25 season.

De Gea was once a target for several big clubs such as AS Monaco and Bayern Munich. However, the goalkeeper is happy with his decision to join Fiorentina and has become a key player for the club.
