However, many students still choose their careers based on herd mentality or the belief that a university degree is the only path to success. Meanwhile, many businesses are facing a shortage of skilled technical personnel with good practical skills and the ability to adapt to new technologies.
Based on that reality, on the evening of June 17th, the Hanoi Press and Broadcasting Agency produced the "Hanoi in Motion" program, with the theme "Career Guidance from High School - Vocational Training Linked to the New Labor Market." The program focused on clarifying issues of public concern, such as: How to make career guidance in high schools more substantive and effective? Why should vocational training be seen as a proactive choice, suitable to abilities and societal needs? How should schools innovate vocational training to meet the requirements of businesses and the new labor market? How should businesses participate to bridge the gap between training and production? The need to train technical human resources to serve the urbanization process, the development of high-tech industries and the green economy of the Capital in the current period.
These topics will be analyzed and discussed in the program with the participation of Distinguished Educator, Dr. Pham Xuan Khanh, Principal of Hanoi High-Tech College, and Mr. Nguyen The Nghia, General Director of Viettel Equipment Manufacturing Corporation Limited.
Updates will continue...
