Students in Long Coc commune are being educated and equipped with skills to prevent and respond to drowning incidents.
The commune currently has over 2,000 children, of which nearly 300 are from poor and near-poor households, children with disabilities, orphans, and children whose parents work far away. These are cases that the local authorities pay special attention to through appropriate support, care, and protection programs. Ms. Dinh Thi Binh, Vice Chairman of the Commune People's Committee, said that the locality has issued many directives to strengthen the protection and care of children; prevent and combat child abuse and violence; and prevent accidents, injuries, and drowning. Every year, the commune develops plans to implement activities during the Month of Action for Children, International Children's Day (June 1st), the Mid-Autumn Festival, and many social welfare programs for children in difficult circumstances.
The full implementation of children's rights is ensured. For many consecutive years, the commune has done a good job of registering births and issuing health insurance cards for children. 100% of children with special circumstances have access to social assistance policies. There are no abandoned or homeless children in the area. In the field of education , the commune pays attention to investing in facilities and equipment, maintaining and improving the quality of teaching and learning. Schools have focused on teaching life skills and self-protection skills, creating conditions for students to develop comprehensively in knowledge, physical health, and personal abilities.
Child healthcare programs have been implemented effectively. The rate of children receiving full immunization is high. Efforts to prevent malnutrition, injuries, and drowning are regularly carried out. Numerous training courses on self-protection skills and safety precautions are organized for children before and during the summer.

Educational and skill-building activities at Long Coc Kindergarten create conditions for children's holistic development.
In the coming period, Long Coc commune will continue to mobilize resources and promote the socialization of child protection, care, and education, creating conditions for all children to live in a safe, healthy environment and develop comprehensively.
